I followed your guide and still got the bad ending 😂 i am not sure what happen i must have done somerhing wrong oh well great guide and playthrough my friend.
The ending is determined by the in-game timer, so it sounds like you got to the end later than I did in this playthrough. One way to trick the game is to level up in the mansions, as time does not pass there.
Why the last dungeon empty? Shouldt that ine have the most resistance? And thus ine had the lamest final biss fight. It was so easy to stun-lock Drac. I guess this is the 1 freebie. In a long lost of brutal boss battles the seties would throw at us.
@@cyberdelicxp9125 as the story goes, Dracula's Castle had been abandoned for years since Simon defeated Dracula. However, a curse has fallen upon Simon and to destroy the curse Simon must purify the remains of Dracula. The castle is empty still as the takes the ashes to the infernal altar, where Dracula is resurrected in a sort of spectral form. I agree once you know you can stun him this battle go much easier. If he gets loose, Drac is very dangerous in this battle.
i seriously watched this entire playthtrough just to be unexpectedly trolled by that suplimented ending music. well played, sir. well played; both the troll, and the game always read the full description, i guess!
Thanks for wasting my time doing a playthrough, only to learn you can't do this legit. (Garlic stock goes away when you enter Dracula's chamber). Edit: I see you meant to say "so you CAN'T do what you see in this video.", you wrote the opposite.
It was something I wanted to add. Honestly, I rushed it and released this without any reworking to make it better. Maybe, if I can find time, I'll actually work it out to be four part a cappella like I wanted it to be... Maybe.
You also have to beat the game under 7 in game days or less if you want the best/good ending. That's the KEY ingredient if you want to get that ending.
I was singing there. Listening to it again, there are definitely parts where I am just off tune. Honestly, I believe I threw that together in minutes and decided it was good enough for the video. I don't regret having done it, but I do wish I had done a better job in the mixing.
I know I'm showing my lack of skills here (and I'm not trying to bootlick "authority" with what I'm gonna say) but these games are pretty fun to play through on the Anniversary Collection now that we have a legal option with save states. I just never got around to playing through them with "other means".
This game is just a few quality of life changes away from being the best NES Castlevania game and possibly the best game overall on the NES. Like, this games gameplay and depth minus the awful day and night swaps and unnecessarily cryptic nature makes this game much better than what Zelda 2 attempted. The areas in this game are my favorite among all NES Castlevania’s but the bosses are far too easy.
The fact that you have to go so far and then return to places you've already been to plus the fact that all environments are almost identical is so exasperating. I would never understood all these things alone. Too difficult for being a game. No fun at all.
The ending you receive is based on the in game time. If too many days pass, you will get one of two alternate endings. The worst is Simon dies to the curse. This run strives to do things as efficiently as possible so as to get all items and still get the best ending. Good luck.
@@WunUnknownPlayer Thank you so much i got it, another thanks because of your guide,it was my first time playing and your play through helped me alot,it wasnt fast or what ever that guy said.Thank you so much.

All hidden books require Eye of Dracula, which you do not get until later in the game. Furthermore, all books provide hints to the game only and are not counted in inventory. This run does meet the established definition of 100% per Speedrun.com as far as I can tell. That said, it is possible I overlooked something else. (one of my videos does miss the goal glaringly, so quite possible I missed something here too.) The capture was from 10 years ago and this run is a snail's pace in comparison to current runs. Of course, if this run is truly found to not meet the definition for 100%, I will be happy to correct the title. Thanks for the feedback.
Sorry you feel that way. Most speed runs, which this attempted to be, sacrifice safety for the sake of even fractions of a second. Truth be told, this route is benign in comparison the the world record route. But, thank you for your opinion anyway.
