No joke, I was just playing the 7800 version of Fatal Run this morning via the Atari 50 Collection, only to find this now. This looks amazing! 😀 I'm so glad to see Atari being so awesomely creative with its old properties. I also happened to try out Cybermorph for the Jaguar, and I won't lie, I'm kinda charmed by it. Sort of janky controls aside, that game has some good things going for it. I actually really like the early 90s polygonal 3D graphics, and the surreal, open level alien worlds. What are the chances of seeing that game get a remake? 😅
I just recently discovered the original Fatal Run throught the Atari 50th Anniversary Collection and it´s quickly becoming one of my favourite retro Atari games and now this???? This is an instabuy, Atari, you should now that and you should be proud of it
As other posts may have mentioned, this will most likely not be ported to the VCS due to software incompatibility. It’s a major disappointment to me and I’m sure many others.
Now THAT would be a game to own! However can you make it EXCLUSIVE to the Atari VCS? PLEASE?!? That's been the only reason I haven't bought an Atari VCS yet. I want games I CANNOT play on any other platform! If not exclusive to the Atari VCS, at least make it available for the Mac, on the App Store (not Steam). I have money in my Apple account just collecting dust. :-D
That looks a lot different to what I would have expected! I thought it may be more retro looking than modern. Either would be OK, this does look good though!
Is that actually running on a Switch? I'd guess "no." Too many publishers are snake oil salesmen showing PC and PS5 footage for the Switch version. Also, there are scenes that definitely remind me of Motorstorm: Apocalypse.
This game desperately needs Carpenter Brut and other similar music!! 🤟🤟🤟🤟 Playing this game to the song, Turbo Killer by Carpenter Brut, would be crazy! Or at least have in-house music that sounds like it.
This is exceptional. My favorite Atari racing game is Enduro with the changing weather patterns which was a game changer back in the early 1980s. I do hope we can see a modern version of Enduro in the future! Keep up your excellent work Atari!...
