Thats the winter route know as the swift trail which when you hit the open area you cross the chocolate falls then jump on the worm flows and quickly go above the tree line. cant mention enough times when you reach the summit dont cross the crack in the snow or you will be on the 30 foot cornice which breaks off. then we have to recover your body from inside the crater. search and rescue!
Hey Brian! Thanks for watching! Sorry to hear you didn't make it. Also sorry that the video could only caputure the whiteout on top, lol. You'll get there next time! Happy travels!
I used water resistant hiking boots with crampons. Some say you only need microspikes, but I would 100% reccomend crampons. Theres a pretty steep section that warrants the extra grip. Have a great trip, conditions overall are great!
The natives were smarter than Christians obviously. They at least created a bad and evil good to explain the flooding. The Bible freaks decided to go with one god, he just had a bad day 🤷🏻♂️
We are not Indians that is a racial slur when someone other than us says it. You as a white person shouldnt be using racial slurs or sharing history on youtube until you become educated and sensitive about us.
What the hell is a parag ? Or whatever it was the chief grabbed and wouldn’t let go of? I’ve listened to this 5 times and read the captions, seems they don’t know what is being said either
A white pirogue is basically an old canoe. The chief was fascinated by all of their technology and refused to let them leave. The full story of this encounter is really fascinating, check it out sometime!! :)
@@nmvids thank you so much. I’ve read a lot of their travels, about 40 years ago. My memory often mixes the factual information with the Hollywood stuff, so I find myself questioning everything I remember. I’ve honestly never heard of any type of boat called that though
@@warrenparker6287 haha I totally get it. Check out the book "The essential Lewis and Clark" it includes every single diary entry of the expedition. Youll love it!
@@nmvids that’s great!! Thank you so very much, I will definitely try to find myself a copy of it. Awesome response, you’re rare quality individual. Thank you
Clark drew his sword..... He tells of it in the journals. People should be required to read the original journals. They are absolutely fascinating. Lewis is such a interesting person. The fact they took those many men on such an amazing and dangerous journey....and brought them all back, with the exception of Sgt Floyd, is unreal.
It would have happened no matter what. Clark was known to the natives as a friend.....but he couldn't change the hearts of men that were inevitably going west. We're humans....it's what we do. The natives weren't saints either... If they didn't like you or have a purpose for you... You would be in for some horrible events....your last.
The reason they all survived except for the one medical problem, was partially due to the fact that the Indians have not been violated by the white people to the extent they were 50 years later. Remember this was in 1806, by 1850 I'm sure native people didn't trust white people one bit.
Wow. Way wrong. A thin sheet of ice held back biblical flood waters? Amazing. How about the asteroids that blew up and melted a large portion of the northern ice cap?
Boy what school or college didn't you go too? Tge Grand Canyon was created by the Colorado River! Oh n it's that water that's still at the bottom of it today
Its the only clear footage of a Bigfoot ever taken ,is it real?, there's a documentary which interviews people in Patterson who say its a hoax even speaking to the guy who says he wore the suit , others where bio -mechanics anilize muscle movement of the suit etc, i wonder what kind of camera was used how big and portable is was in late sixties ,
Awesome video I’m going mid may but I would like to take my mountain bike all the way to the start of the trail is that possible is the road plowed to take the bike and leave it at the beginning of the trail?
Hey Luis, that sounds epic! When I went, there was a guy on the road who had an electric scooter. As long as it doesnt snow a few days before your trip, theres no doubt the road will be clear all the way to the trailhead. Enjoy the climb brotha!
Not pictured were the actual workers who built the railroad. They were Chinese immigrants given that special treatment America gives its non white immigrants.
What about the 165,000 Bison in Canada? Or the 200,000 Bison privately owned? The Fed and State Gov only owns 21,000 Bison. First Nations has 30,000 Bison. the numbers might be different today
Well according to modern science if we didn't kill all those buffaloes it would have caused vast amounts of climate change and we would all be dead today thank God for those early settlers
Did you know that in Buffalo Wyoming the occidental hotel is open, and you can stay in president Theodore Roosevelts hunting suite there. Was around $100 a night when I went and the adjoining Virginian Restaurant is delicious.
A better story about TR is when he was Police Commissioner in NYC he paid for blocks of ice to be delivered to poor neighborhoods so that they would get some relief from the heat. He paid for it out of his own pocket.
