Hello Heavy Metal Maidens and Masters, I'm Heavy Metal Momma!
I'm an alternative fashion addict, blogger, mum, metalhead and mad scientist - in total bitchin shoes.
I create videos to share my passion for alternative and gothic style and fashion. My aim is to share my experience and knowledge of products, looks, styling, music and so many other aspects of the alternative fashion scene with you and to welcome you into the weird and wonderful world that is the Heavy Metal Household!
Expect to find product reviews, unboxings, styling videos, hauls, DIY videos, music critiques, collaborations and challenges, as well as original music from my (fairly prehistoric) band Apnia.
Nice items you got. And I enjoy you both used and washed them before the reviews. They look really great on you. I think their original prizes are too much as well. But cause I wanted that Ankh belt, I needed to order it full prize and from the American site (very expensive shipping too), but it was sold out on the other sites. And I couldn't order from the EU one earlier, cause I was on vacation. Have a wonderful Sunday gorgeous 🦇🖤🖤🖤🖤🦇
Ooh, that first one looks so much nicer on you than the image on their site. Tempted to grab one. Really appreciate these indepth reviews, and the comparison section. How are Restyle doing quality-wise these days? I purchased from them 5 or 6 years ago and it was terrible. I won't buy direct from them again because they've been a nightmare every time.
I have a cardigan from KS that i bought a few years ago, its the one with the goat on the back and i still wear it today. It has no buttons but it has the big pockets. I sure you know what one it is. What ever happened to your friend i think she was goth mum i use to love her hauls to. I think she had to boys.
Momma Goth? She's okay, she stopped to focus on her mental health, she also had someone kinda stalking her & it freaked about so she's concentrating on her family. She still runs all the FB groups though!!! 🖤❤️
Shirley here from the US, It nice to see a killstar haul, not to many people do them. I always hear people saying bad things about them. I still buy things from them, like a top or purse sunglasses. I ordered from voice freaks quite a bit. Cloths housewares. There not very cheap either but I love their hoodies , leggins, joggers.
I think you need to be picky with Killstar, pay attention to how things look on the models, what they are made of etc & sometimes just gamble!! I've returned a few items this year, only 1 because it was rubbish. Maybe I'll make that it's own video!!
Which item is your favourite? Do you have any of these items? Let me know in the comments below. For more Killstar hauls check out my playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLKr8m0jJ3zD7Shk4K7fUTs2zg5ZFe6_Aq
You both worked really hard and it shows looks fantastic. It’s so handy having a tall husband. My daughter has the usb lights in her bedroom there great for leaving on as doesn’t like the dark x
Love it multi functional too. Definitely can hear the difference in sound as you were decorating vs completed. The fabrics really work! I’ve not even thought bout my dressing room other than the last room didn’t give me a lot of options. I’m still limited in this room but there is more wall space so when I eventually get to it I’ll be able to put shelves up for all my jewellery boxes etc. great room thanks for sharing 🤩
I'm so glad the improvement in sound is noticeable!! Worth going the extra mile! It's so much more functional now as a dressing room too as the wardrobes are easier to access to!! 🖤❤️
Do you like the transformation? What would you do differently? Let me know in the comments below. For more VLOG's check out my playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLKr8m0jJ3zD4MWV7AolE0g7-91Lr20QKk
Great video think your rules make a lot of sense. I’ve played with layering but I mostly wear collars & chokers like you. I did wear a big chunky collar with spikes & 2 o rings to the office once. I wore it over a velvet high necked dress. I’ve bought studded collars in blue banana but the faux leather is splitting apart from the soft fabric of the strap 😢 I tend to wear my scarlet & chains over a high neck. My biggest issue is how to store my collars so they stay flat. I’m on the hunt for inspiration on that one.
Am I losing my mind or did you get your chest tattooed earlier in the year? I don’t remember you having one. If you already had it for awhile I don’t know why I can’t remember it. Do you have a video showing the whole tattoo?
Most of my chokers are the chunky collar ones, preferably with spikes and O-rings. My favourite is a spiked one with a transparent pvc base, because it's both subtle and not at the same time. Oh, and my first ever choker was from Claires Accessories which I got when I was like 15-- I STILL wear it all the time, eighteen years later. I don't know how it's held up. Bury me in it. After that it was a real dog collar from Pets at Home-- why pay for cheap fashion ones? :D With the Killstar chokers, I wear lots of them as bracelets. Like the one with the pentagram you have-- double it round twice on your wrist for a chunky buckle bracelet. I've only had one of them disintegrate over time, so must be doing well. Never had an all steel one because they've always felt more 'hard' to me Great video- didn't think you could talk about chokers for half an hour- but yes, you can and I could listen to more!
Chokers are awesome!! I could have gone on Friday another hour but I don't want to bore everyone!!! I hadn't even thought of buying ACTUAL dog collars, great tip, I might take my daughter as she's been asking for more!! 🖤❤️
When I was 15 years old (23 years ago now eeek) I wore a red spiky bulldog style collar every day, cannot remember where I got it, but what I would have give for the choice we have these days! I could have looked like the members of Kittie like I so badly wanted to haha. Honestly, the younger generation don't realise how lucky they are with goth/alt fashion now.
It was sooooo hard to get things back in the day wasn't it!!! I remember trawling cities for alternative shops, now you can just get it delivered!!! 🖤❤️
As a guy I've just ordered a choke collar from temu. I've not worn one before but always thought they looked cool. Thought I'd order a cheap one first then If its not for me I've only spent a couple quid. I have so many outfit ideas to match it with but it's gonna come down to how comfortable I feel wearing it hopefully I can make it work 😀.
I guarantee you'll look fantastic - it's mostly about feeling good in what you're wearing - confidence is the coolest outfit!!! Tag m in your pics on Insta, I'd love to see how you style it!! 🖤❤️
Ooooooo just popped on their website - awesome pieces!!! I'll add it to my list of cool companies! Have you purchased items from them? Is the quality good, customer service good etc? 🖤❤️
Wish I could wear chokers more. But often they need be very light weighted, or not too close to my neck. I love the look of collars, but my neck are too sensitive. Can't even wear clothes that goes too close... You got beautiful collars and chokers. Have a fabulous weekend gorgeous 🦇🖤🖤🖤🖤🦇
That is the thing about collars, they can feel restrictive. You might find the Stainless steel ones feel more comfortable as you don't get sweaty underneath. 🖤❤️
