Motor Boat & Yachting is Europe's best motorboating magazine. It's also the oldest, with a history dating back to 1904. Our long experience in motorboating means our boat tests are acknowledged as the most authoritative in the business, while our technical coverage is without equal.
We upload a video every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - these include full test drive reviews of the latest models, cruising adventures from real boaters across Europe, instructional videos to improve your skippering skills, as well as behind-the-scenes previews from the world's biggest boat shows.
Wow, very clean, great design of space, engine compartment looks very organized and the flow looks smooth. Need to win the powerball lottery. Thanks for posting this wonderful ship.
There is some real footage of MTB's in action in this Canadian film from 1962 beginning at 00:40 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JyHJsQZKVHU.html
Great report. Any potencial buyer will get great info in this video. In this world of crazy high prices, I think this yacht is extremely competitive. Nº1? Very probably.
Looks really capable ! Modern robustness, capability, operability and comfort at its best. From a practical point of view, it would be interesting to run a full independent FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) with unlimited input from very experienced marine professionals. The dependence on automated and powered technology can be risky if not adequately mitigated by manual alternatives (where practical and possible). This yacht build depends not only on the designers and builders, but also on an extensive parts-supply chain. Not all suppliers operate at the same high levels of quality needed to guarantee operational reliability and longevity.
Thanks for the feedback, it’s always a bit of a balance between the distortion of a wide angle lens and the limited field of view of a standard one but I will try to mix it up a bit more
What an incredible yacht. Since I have limited mobility those ups and down in the salon, could make things very challenging. Did it also have a day head off the salon, may have to watch the video twice. Thanks
Love Italian design. Great interior. Helms seemed oddly arranged, but have seen that before. At first glance made me think of Nordhavns. The lower helm looks to be midships - the place that moves least and the fly bridge was a bit behind midships. This would be a rear helmed yacht which would give it the most comfortable ride for the captain. You didn't mention stabilization - but I'll assume you have you choice of fins or gyros. Still a boat I was excited to see.
To be honest, I’m not impressed. That foredeck area just looks absolutely bland and boring. None of the seating looks comfortable at all. Nothing soft and welcoming
Great review Hugo and what a stylish yacht. Really liked the interior design on this one. Performance and handling seemed impressive too. Only negative I could see was both helms look like they’ve been designed for setting the autopilot and sitting back rather than engaging with the drive.
She an Azimat 😊 that's all you need to say. However she a nice stable boat when moving with a nice flare of speed when needed. She has a well planned engine room and a two person crew cabin and shower room. All the exterior is comfortable love the furniture looks comfortable relaxing very sociable for a group of people. Interior carries on the social relaxing people. the galley is smart and useable with all the necessary accessories. The cutlery and plates in fiddled drawers. More comfort and style in the 4 cabins all with their own en-suites. She feels specious but comfortable with a stylish teak twist. But that what er expect from an Aximat.
Great drive and tour, thanks for that Hugo. Really impressive yacht, imo. I can definitely see myself (and a couple of favoured friends lol) cruising around the Med on this. See you next time and all the best.
Really like the interior design throughout this one. The use of textures, materials and colors give the entire interior space a modern but sophisticated look. Might not be to the more traditionalists taste but they've even made turquoise look beautiful in that owners cabin.
We print a full table of figures in the magazine article but since you asked so nicely it burns 250lph at 20 knots giving a range of 340 with a 20% reserve left in the 5,200 litre fuel tanks
Azimut's are always beautiful yachts and this one is no exception, great colours and finishes throughout and a nice spacious layout. Three great size cabins all with En-suit's is great. Nice sea trial and tour thank you Hugo.
That is a nice little boat and eco friendly being electric but I think for the price you could get more for your money else where. Nice tour Alex thank you.
10:30 Changing your shutter speed will help. Getting rid of flicker completely can be tricky when you have different light sources flickering at different speeds. Sometimes, you just have to fix the worst offender but will have other lights flickering in the background. Great job for trying! Edit: 11:42 just noticed you did just that, excellent!
