I badly regret letting my mechanic fit these awful shit shocks to my BMW e63, not even 6 months have gone by and less than a 1000 miles and they are already starting to corrode! never been anywhere near the coast or the sea etc but in the city, I only noticed the corrosion when the rear tyres were changed, 'made in Germany' more like made in Afghanistan, do not buy bilstein, I am so *ucked off having been charged a hell of a lot of cash to change all the shocks and springs, I can't even bring myself to look closely at the front shocks in fear f what i will find. avoid this brand!!! the customer service was also a bloody joke

Wenn man da im Falschen Thread ist, kann ein Kauf Impuls leider im Keim erstickt werden. Ich habe gerade trotzdem 4 x die b8 Dämpfer bestellt. Plus Eibach Federn. Quasi das B 12. Dann einen Experten zum Einbau auf der Bilstein Homepage in der Regionssuche gefunden. Als ich ihn anrief, und sagte, er sei ja “Experte”, war er sehr überrascht. Aber er montiert es trotzdem 😂.
Hallo! Vw Golf 7 2015 bj. Auf der ganzen Welt gelten die Stoßdämpfer ihres Unternehmens als eine der besten für den durchschnittlichen Benutzer. Ich habe die hinteren Stoßdämpfer bei Autodoc gekauft. Ich habe es gestern installiert, eine Testfahrt durchgeführt und es war schlimmer als die alten inländischen Stoßdämpfer, die 206.000 km gefahren sind. Warum sind die neuen schlechter als die alten. Die Stoßdämpfer wurden mindestens 10 Mal abgepumpt. vor der Installation. Nicht einmal auf der Autobahn spürt man, dass das Auto wie eine Glocke in einer Kirche plaudert. Obwohl sie beim Pumpen stark gesunken sind und selbst nach oben gestiegen sind. Mit ihnen stimmt etwas nicht, oder sie haben Migranten aufgenommen und aufgehört, deutsche Qualität zu machen, wie es in ganz Deutschland geworden ist.
On Passat B8 2017, the ride improved significantly, but I started hearing knocking / squeezing sounds ij the front. Unfortunately after refitting the shocks 2 times the knocking sound during drive did not disappear. I visited the official VW dealership from where I bought the car. They examined the car and said the original strut bearings are not compatible with Bilstein B6 shocks and confirmed this being the reason for the knocking sound. Does anyone has solution for this.
Bilstein offers their own stut bearings for the front, they cost about 100€ or less, for a set of front suspension bearings. It should solve your problem, i used to have bilstein b8 with h&r springs and i really enjoyed it, the feel was better than my new car.
@sakisztt Hi, Bilstein answered to me to pay attention on alligning the upper end of the spring with the notch of the strut bearing. If not alligned that way, the spring is breaking the strut bearing, which is plastic.
The way they installed the fittings on the air lines in this video is WRONG. Install the fittings into the air spring first, install the airspring then slide the air line into the fitting. The brass fitting is designed to grab onto the airline and never let go.
Hallo, Ich habe eine c klasse, w205 2014 hat Problem mit Luftfetterung, aber ich weiss nicht was es kaputt ist, Das Auto wenn langge steht kein Problem, aber wenn Motor starten Auto geht Unten und geht nicht wieder hoch. aber wenn das auto 10 m fahren alles wider funktioniert. Kannst du mir helfen?
Habe die verbaut, katastrophal ganz ehrlich. Erstens hart, zweitens nach 8000 km hinten kaputt gegangen am klopfen wie verrückt, neue bestellt und direkt verglichen etwas weicher aber andere waren extrem hart und laut. Bilstein ist nicht mehr das wahre
Ich will für mein Smart b12 pro Kit. Aber da steht vorne b8 und hinten b6 häää warum? Ich will komplett b8 Dämpfer vorne und hinten. Und die eibach Federn sind nur 20mm vorne und hinten tiefer. Ich möchte aber 30/40mm.

Immer dieses uninteressante Gerede aber keiner kann mal sagen was nun wirklich die Unterschiede sind im Fahrverhalten zwischen einem BILSTEIN und ein KW Gewindefahrwerk. Oder ist das alles der gleiche Scheiß. Hatte bis jetzt immer KW.. Aber hoffe immer das BILSTEIN besser ist, weil ich KW naja.. Normal fand. Sogar als Variante 3. Auch Qualitätsunterschiede Usw. Wenn man mir alles erklären kann in dieser Sache, dann hat man erst Ahnung! Was interessiert mich dieses dumme Einbauen. Sowas lass ich machen.
I am looking for absorber for 2014 Passat Sedan 2.0 D with normal springs. Is there any difference between B4 and original VW absorbers? I like a little bit sporty than the original but not bouncy. How stiff the B6 with normal load on bad road condition? Is it recommended for my wife's car? :))
Ich habe die dämpfer mit der 40mm kolbenstange eingebaut bräuchte aber federwegsbegrenzer fürs einzragen der räder finde aber keine mit 40mm Innendurchmesser

Bei der Schulung wurde gesagt der B6 ist "sportlich komfortabel" also nicht härter. Man muss ihn einfach Mal fahren. Fahrgefühl ist schwierig zu beschreiben. Ich würde sagen das Fahrwerk fährt satter.
@@rainerpopiol9774 die Monotube Dämpfer (B6 / B8) sprechen halt nicht so fein an wie ein Twintube. Mono und Twintube Haben beide ihre Vor und Nachteile
@@vollcare4076 Naja, der 1Rohr arbeitet direkt Kraftschlüssig.Kann auch weicher "anlaufen" Mono Tube ist mein Favorit. Ein Teil der B6,B8 sind auch Zweirohr. Aber du hast Recht beide haben Vor und Nachteile. Und wenn es für jemanden passt, dann passt es.😁
@@rainerpopiol9774 beides kann gut sein. Nur die Ausage „Monotube ist besser als Twintube“ kann man so allein ja auch nicht stehen lassen. Ein KW V3 ist mit seinen Twintube Dämpfern ja sicherlich nicht schlechter als ein B8 Monotube, oder ?!
@@rainerpopiol9774 meine Erfahrung ist: - bei niedrigen Geschwindigkeiten ist der B4 spürbar komfortabler - der B6/8 fährt straffer mit Komfortnachteil in der Stadt, aber natürlich fährt das Auto stabiler wenn man mit hohen Tempi viel Karosserieanregungen in das Auto „reinbringt“
Ich habe einen Audi A5 Sportback mit Standard Fahrwerk ab Werk. Kein s-line. Ich habe 40mm H&R Federn verbaut und in Verbindung mit distanzscheiben und Räder eingetragen. Sollte ich die B8 wählen und muss dann nicht nochmal eingetragen werden?

I know b8 is for lower suspension but with aftermarket springs. What should i install to factory 30mm lower suspension? I don't want to get the car lower than already is.
@@vagk1351 I wasn't even paying attention to anything in my original response. If it means anything, the Bilstein catalog states that Bilstein B8 are supposed to be paired with my 2016 BMW 340i M Sport, M Sport being factory lowered. I'd suspect if M Sport calls for Bilstein B8, the rules should be the same for a lower (sport suspension) VW/Audi as well.
@@alextorkelsonhow many mm is your sport factory suspension than the standard one? So you have b8 already installed, how is the ride? And have you noticed any drop or raise? I don't want to lower my car, it is already low by factory for my tastes
@@alextorkelson ... Re: 1997 Porsche C2S (993) ... Is it true the B6 & B8 share the very same valving character,,,, separated only by height? ... B6 model is for a OEM standard suspension. .. Where as the B8 is for a lower spring (Sport suspension) height suspension. .. "Some say" in the Porsche 993 model Fandom that the B6 has a harsh (street) ride character... by my current understanding of the B6 & B8 pair,,, there ride character would be the same only differentiated by a lower height coil spring influence. ....
