With the cost of diesel trucks will balance out on ev class 8 because mechanical problem with diesel trucks are OVER the cost already & by the time EV trucks come in diesel trucks will be 3 time maintenance & used EV will bring down the cost
My figures show a diesel trucks are off the road 400% more than EV trucks and then you add in fuel cost and the EV truck pays off in under 3 years - some can be as low as 1.5 years. So where they get the figure it cost 94% more is hitting my this is total bull shit meter

Just look around at any Truck Stop!!! Drivers have destroyed the truck stops!!! I spoke to a worker at a truck stop that told me that drivers destroy parking lots when they change their oil in the lots work on their trucks in the lots, piss on the lots, s**t on the lots!!! Hit safety poles tear up fule pumps. Tear each other's trucks up. Tear up the showers destroy the restrooms. Run off with the hose hanging out their tanks! Some even park hazmat loads near the front of the truck stops which is illegal 😡 Specking of parking they park and block up the entrance and exit to the truck stops too! If ain't tore it up it's only cause a driver hasn't touched it yet!
GE is still a huge investor in them, and is a big reason Karno is their new focus. When batteries are cheaper the Karno can have more mobile applications like long haul trucking and medium freight rail.
I wish Hyliion would do more deep dives like this themselves to dispel all the FUD out there. Pretty sure GE (their major investor) had a lot to do with their shift to Karno from ERX, once they get these going and battery and loan prices come down they can probably shift back to putting these in the semi tractors instead of crossing their fingers the Cummins range extenders continue to meet CARB standards.

lol freight is slow as it is and all companies have these. Where do these drivers plan on going? It’s not like anyone is kicking the door down to hire a prime driver in the first place.
The very last things most Americans care about are the USA and their fellow Americans, Americans have been raised to destroy the USA if they need to and take advantage of their fellow Americans. Most Americans fly the flag and shout USA USA but they really don't give a damn about the USA or the people, for them it's self, self and self again, grab what you can while you can. It's the reason why the USA is a shithole country.
Hydrogen is actually dead in the EU. Most all of the Hydrogen fueling stations have been shut down in the EU and such stations are virtually non-existent in the US. Bottom line is that Hydrogen is a dead end.
All these EV thoughts won't pass into legislation,I'm retired & Trucking it's about time change went on & EV is here to stay sad that regular Trucks will be out of service & same technique is used from leaded to non lead gas +it's costing us more to fight & Happy Trails
Don't stop progress these folks have pumped billions into EV & THEY are looking for profit & Trump has had his chance to stop EV and didn't do nothing & 2019 is the worst Truking year of all time
