@ApartmentMaintenance 11 дней назад
@@adamg.1845 Yes me personally, I would swap out the contactor if that's what is making the buzzing sound. Of course I'm not there working on your system to say 100% that is definitely the issue. But from what your telling me, it sure does sound like it. There is a 24 volt coil inside the contactor. That is what makes the buzzing sound & what goes bad. Sorry for the confusion. You can leave it with the buzzing sound if you want or replace it, that's up to you. Just make sure you shut the power off to the system & turn the thermostat off as well before doing anything. I've seen contactors that buzz & last several years but then I've seen some that start buzzing & then they are no longer working a few weeks later. Hope that clears things up a bit for you. I did apt maintenance for two years and what's funny is back then I had fair knowledge but not many tools. I look back on it and wonder how I managed without a few of these. Good list. That putty knife is almost like a multitool how often it can be used -- I also used one of those caulk removal tools with the plastic scraper, metal round scraper/remover and rubber triangle spreader in many ways not suggested by the manufacturer! I'd say this list will handle 95% of the typical work orders. A couple other suggestions would be a good pair of gloves (and maybe nitrile gloves for those more disgusting jobs) plus a hammer and/or rubber mallet for percussive maintenance.

Great video! Question for you boss: I have a 3600, 2 story house. AC downstairs is working flawlessly, upstairs is hot af. I go out to the AC, downstairs unit is blowing out hair out, upstairs unit is blowing cold air out. Is the upstairs unit not pulling the hot air from the house and pushing it out? If so, is it because of the condenser ? Can it be just because it’s dirty? But if it is the condenser, would changing the capacitor like in your video, work?
@ApartmentMaintenance
@ApartmentMaintenance 20 дней назад
You're on the right track by noticing there's cool air blowing out of the condenser, it's honestly impossible to say exactly what the issue is without seeing it. It definitely could be the capacitor that is bad which isn't starting the compressor but it's starting the fan. Or it could be low on refrigerant & not performing properly, it could be a loose wire, an airflow issue, etc....But if you have a meter that does microfarads you can check the capacitor. Those faucets all had the original parts in them & that's how "Valley" installed the parts from the factory. You could have the non OEM parts which if that is the case, the cartridge will leak when you turn the water back on. I had that happen to me which is how I know this. I linked all the OEM parts in the video description to help everyone get the correct parts so they don't run into that issue. It's not the rubber washers, it's not the springs, it's not the little plastic pieces, it's the cartridge itself that is slightly shorter & it won't work. Hope that information helps out. Thanks again for watching bro 🛠️👍

It's to increase or decrease the amount of water during the time the water fills up the tray. If the cubes are too small you can increase the water & if the cubes are too big or end up coming out as one large block of ice you would decrease the water flow for each batch of ice. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching Bennetts3044 & help support the channel by subscribing 🛠️👍
