Currently we do not offer any connections in the core towers macro, the purpose of the macro is to define the primary geometry of the tower, however you can create certain joints using standard joints of Advance Steel and PowerPack Advance Steel, look under bracings in the connection vaults. For non-standard joints like ones where the gusset plate is bent to suite the different alignment planes, you will have to model using manual options, for plates and bolts, with some custom connection creation as well. Hi, the 2024 and 2024.1 versions of the Powerpack for Revit are compatible only with Revit 2024. For Revit 2021 we have the Powerpack for RVT 2021 version that can be purchased. If you already are a Graitec Customer you have this under your GRAITEC Advantage account, and you can run it in trial version.

Hi, thank you for your interest. At the moment we don't have a video tutorial on this topic. However, here are some guidelines on this subject: in general, there is no direct connection between the programmes (common format) but, as for all other calculation programmes, we have two choices: a) use an intermediate format (for example IFC) but then the import and export only applies to geometry. b) use another program to which there is an export. In the case of Advance Design, it is definitely best to export the model into Revit from another program and then import into Advance Design. Hi, 2024 version of the PowerPack can be installed on Advance Steel 2024 and 2023. Graitec could also provide dedicated version for older versions of Advance Steel.

Great Work But i tried on a small Concrete project 4 columns and 4 beams and 1 slab Then Compare with Etabs & SAFE it's completely Different the value from Advanced Design Is Less Than Etabs by 4 ton meter and less than Safe By 2 ton meter when i applied 0.5 ton meter on beams it's length is 6.7m the moment My on Beam on dead load case was 1 meter ton and when you applied the low of moment for simple beam you will find W*L^2/8 it will be equal 3.37 meter ton W = 0.5 ton/meter L= 6.7meter in etabs result was 4.5 meter ton in safe result was 4.1 meter ton but in advanced result was 1 meter ton and I'm sure the material and every thing is the same if you know why i will be so happy if you helped me and thanks for video
Thank you for your comment. Advance design conducts structural calculation by the Finite Element Method. For a beam supported on columns we will get positive bending at mid span and negative bending near columns, the W*L^2/8 formula is for simply supported beam with zero negative moment at extremities. To get this type of beam behavior in Advance Design you can assign end releases at the extremities of the concerned beam. Thank you for your comment. To have many colors for structural elements in AD, we should go to display settings and change the colors display option. For example, displaying color by cross section will show the color assigned to each cross section. Displaying color by material will show the color assigned to each material.
So this is more about reports analysis and less design and design features. Sometimes we need a little of both, nice software but not for my little company. We focus more on design, the cost reports are important but not more than the design features and ease of use.
