Thank you for this video! I'm considering doing our own cavapoos grooming. I can't seem to find a groomer to do what I want and it's a lot of money to not be happy. I like flexibility of doing it on my own.
great video I have a 9 month old cockapoo and just bought some grooming equiptment and am going to give it a shot. you did a great job. She looks a lot like my guy Arlo.
My Cavapoo looks exactly like Chloe.. same color and same white markings. I`m gonna groom him for the first time on my own tonite. Thank You for this video.. It seems like its really gonna help because they are so similar in every way... Wish me luck!!
Fantastic video with great detail. What tips do you have to get a dog that's about to be clipped for the first time by a non professional (me) to be as calm and well behave as Chloe is. Also, the clippers you used (Andis) are quite expensive, am I able to use mens Wahl clippers to clip my Cockapoo and lastly, how often do you clip Chloe
You are not a pro??... but you sure play one on TV. Great job. Just cut my Rileys hair for the first time. He is 3 months, I want to get him use to the trimmer as young as possible. Looking forward to trying these techiques next time. He does not look perfect but will get better with practice
Im glad found this video, tried to groom my Lucky cockapoo he is 14 months old, wanna try to save some money so i will try to groom him myself...your video will really help me...Chloe is so cute.
Thanks for the video. Saving my money ! Learned a lot ! ❤ I am wondering, I've seen many videos that the groomer pluck out the inside ears hair, I just got a dog, 2 weeks ago, had already ear infection and the vet recommended me to bring her to them to cut the hair from ears. I see, you don't do that. It is any extra separat grooming that you do periodically to yours beauty ears?
Thank you!! Dogs with long downward ears are more prone to ear infections. I don't pluck Chloe's ear hair because I'm scared of hurting her, they say it doesn't hurt them but I prefer to leave that to the professionals. I just make sure to keep her ears clean, dry, and cut, I use a burts bees ear-cleaning solution that seems to work well. I'd also follow the vet's steps for treating and maintaining your dog's ear health.
As a professional groomer, she should have a groomers helper attached to a clamp grooming arm. It’s just so she doesn’t step off the table, she doesn’t move while you use scissors and also in case she jerks so you don’t catch her skin, too! Great job with her groom!
Yes, I wanted to get a grooming table with the arm for extra safety but I make sure to watch her diligently and never leave her up there. Luckily she doesn’t try to walk off and is a calm dog.
Me and my daughter used clippers for my 4 month cockerpoo first hair cut we did a good job bear was well behaved saved myself £90 letting a dog groomer do it
Going to attempt to groom my dog tomorrow as can't get into a groomers for the life of me they are all booked up for months and she desperately needs a cut hopefully it will go well I am dreading it as affraid I may cut her with the trimmers
