If you check your mountain caves where the river is. Check the overhead roof type. If it is the thick rock wall/dark green, that means raids cannot Spawn there at all so there is no need to block those off. However. When raiders start fleeing, they can flee from there, which you can use to your advantage in some cases.
The paved concrete tiles you placed speeds up walking speed for your enemies so they will spend less time in the hallway. You want the opposite. Keep it dirt or sand or rough stone. Just put a roof over it and nothing will grow. Just make sure to light the area your colonists fire from so you dont get accuracy penalty from darkness. A nice side bonus from roofing is also that rain doesnt decrease your accuracy
Building structures increases your base value which in turn means the raids against you will be larger. It would have been better to live in the mountain to begin with.
Just a suggestion but I think you could do without the bright, flashing subtitles. Your voice is pretty clear and I think they’re just distracting more than anything else.
I see you like mods and did a terminator playthru...i have the only HK tank on the workshop it just got released 8 days ago. I also have a video on my channel about it. Love this short ❤
It's crazy that I was searching for images of this exact setup just to make sure I was doing it correctly and couldn't find it online...then along comes your video. Thank you!
@@johnnyplay0206 ok cool, I was honestly just curious because I couldn’t tell at first until it got to pronouncing certain words lol. Well, Thanks for the series and all the hard work you put into it.
I'm annoyed I didn't think of this, but it makes sense. I usually just do the door method of zig zagging and having a line of doors every other opening. I do use barricades/fences to slow them down but that's it. Also you should mention the trick for putting a turret behind doors at the entrance so the enemies don't stack on top of each other if you haven't.
