Honestly, I'm surprised that such a rare and historical item sells for only $1300, considering less rare Star Wars merch can sell for a lot higher. At the end of the day, the collectors decide the market value, and most collectors want toys over cardboard so perhaps that's why?
I stil own my original game, we played it forever when I was 8. It hasn't aged well, I played it with my friend, and we finished in like 5 mins..lol...still, great memories.
I still have the original game that my friend got for 1978 Christmas, he gave it to me years ago and I've kept all these years 🙌 it's really beat to hell though 😂We use to play our own made up game with it, using all the cardboard stand figures😂it was a lot of fun 🎉 keep collecting bro 😎🤙
That bubble was the first thing I noticed. The bubble is way too big, and it kinda looked like it had a tray in it. I found an Endor Leia on the card for $200 that I'm kind of apprehensive of getting. I think it's legit, though.
It's as though the seller has simply cut and pasted the description of an original example that they've seen had previously sold for a tidy amount thinking that theirs might slip through. I wonder why chancers like this don't realise that they might stand a better chance of actually selling the thing if the description was honest and they priced it accordingly? I have a resealed die cast X-Wing Fighter I bought from Ebay but it was exactly as described, original bubble and card sold as seen at a reasonable price. No problem, I bought it!. (It was an original Palitoy card, I couldn't resist it! 😁) And I don't believe for a second that the seller of the bogus carded Luke was 'uneducated', rather that they were counting on the *buyer* being uneducated. Unforgivable. 😡
Getting ready to finish my collection at ICCC, getting some estimates for the final purchases. Thanks for all the work you've put into this and the other lines!
Dude!! Thank you for mentioning Ian’s :) I’m getting an acrylic case for my original ESB X-Wing box asap. Also, wanted a Dagobah play set since my best friend had one in second grade.
