Very cool. I had no idea that this was still a thing. Back when I was doing it in the late 80s and early 90s there were relatively few people engraving art this way. Most of my work appears on black granite headstones in cemeteries. Rotary engravers were too expensive back then so I started with a $5 ordinary engraver (similar to the one at 35:40 but much cheaper). Nowadays the rotary engravers are much more affordable, but each still has its use. You can use the other engraver exactly as you would the rotary style. The primary difference is that it doesn't engrave to the same depths or with the same speed. Still, I've created elaborate pieces with it. This video just happened to pop up in my feed even though I wasn't searching for anything to do with engraving. I've not checked your channel yet to see what else you've produced, but I bet your audience would find a video about painting engravings to be interesting. You may have already made one. Painting really brought the engravings to the next level. Some of mine are still out there, full color, 30+ years later. A little faded from the outdoor environment, but they've held up better than expected. Great vid. Nice to see the enthusiasm for the art form in the comments below.
The whole idea of this system is that you do away with your hand held pressure gauge. You connect your compressor to the tyre valves without the hand controlled tyre gauge and walk away while it automatically cuts off when it reaches its pre set pressure. And it also just as easily defeats the same way… hands free.
Follow up to my last posting.This awning is stupidly designed & constructed. I used it 4 times & now noticed 8 holes appearing in the canvas right where the oversized bolts are that hold the support legs. These are digging into the canvas when closed up, so I had to reduce the length & put on some protection to prevent chafing.
Think that’s definitely something that needs to be taken up with the manufacturer bud. I noticed the same on the first iteration but not had any issues with my current one. Have you spoken to them about it yet?
I honestly don't recommend the chuck for heavy operations. Do you work on glass? That's fine. Do you cart wood with dremels from 3000 up with kutzall tips? Don't do it because it's dangerous, you'll see the chuck lose strength and see the tip fly.
@@MachinaDesigns if you only do that type of work it can fit. I gave the example with the kutzall tips because they are used for working wood. During these jobs I noticed that the chuck was loosening. In any case, I find that the classic design is more efficient and faster. do you know that the end of the dremel is an integrated wrench? It also allows you to exert more force
So excited to have found your channel, two weeks ago I bought my 80 series, a 1997 1HD FT, similar condition as your maybe cosmetically little better ... She is a daily runner for the Mrs at the moment, until I can find her 97 3 Door rav ... Toyota in the mid 90s built some remarkable cars. My plans for ours are similar to yours, with the key difference is that I have very little mechanical experience, just a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm to learn! My 4000 gets VERY hot! Upgrading to the 4300 as soon as my 4000 dies. Only problem is my 4000 won’t die. I can’t believe it I have worked it so hard it started smoking heavily! After letting it cool for a few hours it started right up and still works. I need it to stop working so I have the excuse to buy the 4300. Point is, can’t go wrong with the 4000
I've had the ARB line system for 4 years now and can confidently say it is an unreliable piece of shit. Why oh why did I fall for this? If you are out in the middle of nowhere follow the KISS principle and stick with toggle switches! DO NOT buy this product.
Mechanical all the way! Technology always makes me nervous as we’re so damn reliant on it these days and they are so so sensitive. Old school all the way
I think the FTE doesn’t have a mechanical IP and therefore isn’t able to be tuned as easily as the 1-HDT or 1-HDFT. However, if the FTE puts out that much more HP, why not?
great. Am i correct in understanding that the PRB needs to be connected to the air tank outlet and not before the inlet ? because the air tank lets out a large volume for the tires and air tools etc. Correct me if im wrong. thanks
Hi chief 🙌 could you tell me the centre's of the fixings points of this awning as I'm thinking of getting one but I only have roof bars , so would have to probably find alternative brackets to suit 🤙👌👍
@@MachinaDesigns cheers for the reply Justin 👍 in your video you say they come with L brackets 🤔 I messaged Dara and they said they only have in brackets for a front runner type roof system , uhmm any clarity would be very helpful 🤙 cheers Justin
@Gunslinger-1962-martin so the awning comes with a generic L bracket or you can opt for the front runner universal awning bracket which can only be used with the front runner roof rack.

Kinda late to the party lol, just bought an old Harley and thought I'd look up engraving, have watched several of your videos so far and am very impressed!! Also subbed to the channel. Curious if this piece was left like this on the bike or if the Bobhead boys had them rechromed?
@ashhines669 fair enough. I’m actually in the process of doing other bits to the motor which I am trying to capture as much as possible to help anyone that runs into similar situations.
