I know what you mean! Eventually though the tables may turn and you’ll find revit the complicated one. I think it really comes down to which one you end up using the most :) You got this!
well I would say that this is a quick method for early stages of a project or competition work. In order to model more accurate landscapes you will need to follow a different process using an accurate survey plan. We shall see what AC28 does, always room for improvement.
Selection of the empty openings is a pain the neck in Archicad. I somehow managed to move the empty opening to the edge of the wall because I needed half of the opening (the "wall" is a cupboard door) then I copied and mirrored the cupboard door and arranged it in a symmetrical way - so far so good but the last step is almost impossible to execute - the selection of the empty opening of the second cupboard door.
Hmmm, sounds like you're doing a lot. I am not sure If I am following how you are using the 'Solid Element Operation' tool but try exploring alternative methods for creating cupboards :) Feel free to go into more detail and perhaps if I can chisel out more time I can address this in another video!
Many didn´t love the music and found it distracting. However, since I´ve watched several Archicad tutorials, I found your bgm nice. Maybe you can lower the volumen vs your voice. I didn´t need this tool until today, so thanks a lot for your help!
oddly direct feedback but I think I understand what you're talking about. I agree, a script would help me better articulate myself instead of speaking on the fly.
Hi Kisembo, I unfortunately haven’t made a layers video yet! But I will start getting it in the works and hopefully upload it soon! Is there anything in particular that you are struggling to understand about Archicad layers?
Great tutorial, but how does it show in the floorplan? Does it cut exactly the way the wall is cut (so, what you see is what you get) or do you see the symbolic view of the wall (without the whole)?
Thank you! Good Question, Unfortunately you can only see the symbolic view of the wall without the SEO.... I'm sure there is a way to fix this but I am not aware of any solutions :(
Yeah the opening tool is the best way to do it these days! I believe it was a new tool that came out with Archicad 23... so prior to this, this method was the best way to do it. I do note too that this is Archicad 23 but at the time of recording I hadn't become familiar with the new tool
@@JDArchitecture hello Jacob! It's just my opinion, but I think that those who watch this type of video have a single interest: to learn something, and quickly. It's not about entertainment, it's about taking a lesson. I follow the music on youtube a lot, but if I need a tutorial on how to do a certain thing with a software, the background music bothers me and does not help me to concentrate. We are already surrounded by noises! hello good job
@@warburgaby yes I really value hearing people’s opinions so thank you! Some really good points. On the topic of short and to the point, once I get through my final semester of university (7 weeks!! ) I’ll be uploading not just more content but longer videos like this and shorter 1 min videos, so I’ll need all the feedback to make those videos are effective as possible… so thank you again, your feedback helps me refine the content.
I cant Believe so much trouble for so SIMPLE operation. I Mean, the guys at archicad tought "okay, basically no one will ever use a triangle shaped wall, so, lets not include this shit.
Haha yeah, it’s a pain, there are some other ways of doing it with just morphs but at the end of the day this operation is much simpler in Revit. One day they’ll fix it though (hopefully).
It really does come down to what your comfortable with. People will give you split opinions on which is better or more efficient but for me they’re both VERY similar, they can do essentially the same things with the same time. It’s always good to try learn archicad as well then you can make a decisions based on what you personally prefer to use.
The tutorial here is for Archicad, It shows snippets from Revit to help people who have prior knowledge of how to use Revit but are learning Archicad. Let me know if you would like to see any tutorials for Revit though! :)
hi, can you do a tutorial on how to make complex custom railings? like for example volute type railings something like that and also I was struggling on adjusting the placement of Newel Post and the balusters to fit in the treads of the stair.
oooo, that one is a tricky one! I will need some time to figure it out myself but hopefully I can get some content about complex rails in the future :)
Thank you so much Lina, also reach out if there is any content you’re after, or let me know if there anything you know you struggled with in archicad :)
@@JDArchitecture would you make a tutorial on how to export your drawings form archicad to Autocad. I tried saving it as a dwg and opening the file in Autocad, but it was so heavy and I couldn't work on it. It didn't work properly at all. If there's a way to figure that out that would be great 👌
