Hi again. I solved my problem. The plugs between the engine and tender have to be plugged in a lot harder than usual to lock into place. Thanks again anyway and your layout is amazing!
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout (and run Pennsy locomotives), though as I am somewhat limited in terms of space, I don't believe mine will be quite as large as this.
I want to dedicate this song to my coworker Steve who recently passed of COVID-19. His passion for trains was unparalleled. He was a railfan who took thousands of pictures of trains. He also worked for the railroad until his retirement several years ago. Rest easy fellow railroad brother. Highball. Clear tracks ahead! Two Bells.
Actually I pulled it and replaced it with a TCS WOW WDK-ATL-1. I pulled all of my MRC decoders. they are hard to speed match for consisting. This is an old video. I should probably pull it.
Yes I have only used MRC in certain locomotives. I put the EMD 567 Sound and a Nice large speaker in an ACL Atlas FP7 I had. Im very pleased with it and it matches ok with some other Atlas units I have with Digitrax regular decoders. Im thinking of putting Tsunami 2 in my set of Rs11's I bet the WOW really sounds great!
All of us are just busy beavers on our layouts. Some layouts are clean, others are dirty. Others are still cluttered and some are just newly beginning. Thanks for the tour. My trains here: ru-vid.com/show-UCYyg3dwt06JYGaPF8Fz2ofA?view_as=subscriber
Actually I thought the loco speed was just fine; you see some of these videos and they're molasses slow. My heartburn is two things - the inset video popping in and out and the jerky/halting action. I'm guessing the camera was on a flat car being pushed in front of the loco right? There has to be someway to remedy this without building a special self-powered camera loco - stabilization in the camera?
It was a flat car being pushed with a camera. I am not a professional cinematographer. so give me a break.. let me know when you have built an HO size steady cam system...... LOL. with good criticism comes recommendations to do better or different. you don't like the inset video but you offer no alternative. The concept was to show the train from 2 angles. I did not have a 2 camera set up so I relied on running twice and then "matching" up the video. What would you have done??
Oddly, soundtraxx no longer has the "electric" version on their web site. But Traintekllc.com is still selling it. I would get the 883002 Eco200 for Electric. it allows for up to 2 amps. but is a litlle bigger in size... check your clearances before ordering.
Thank you for this. It has brought me so much pleasure. I have a friend who is a collector of model trains, someone sent it to him a few years ago. He bought a new computer and the music will not transfer to the new one. I think he had your rendition of the music, because it is different than what I hear on this. Thank you again, it is beyond beautiful.
Hi, I'm sorry to read that you are dismantling your layout. Very well detailed and realistic. I hope your move goes well and am looking forward to seeing your new layout. If you are moving to Florida don't forget to check out the Suncoast Model Railroad Club. Good people with ACL-SAL-SCL modelers in the mix!
Very nice John! I have two Atlas custom painted in the Jolly Green Giant scheme. I have regular digitrax decoders but thinking about putting sound in them.
