I've actually changed how I make the mount. I'm guessing your talking about the bottom part that attaches it to the frame of the truck??.. I redesigned that part and made it very simple now. The way I do it in this video allows way to much room for error, to time consuming., and wasteful.. I'll make a newer video here before long and show how I do it.. Do they sell a patch panel for that right rear? If so, it will be money well spent. If not, you are a crafty enough guy to figure it out. Just bring your thinker and your patience because it’s going to take some time. It’s gonna be bitchin when you finish 👍🏼🇺🇸
Well, hopefully that is going to solve my current paint removal problem on an old Tonka dump truck. Normal paint stripper barely works at all. Most of it just sits there and does nothing.
Sometimes you just have to use pop rivets weather ya like it or not. I use them pert near all the time because I don't have a spot welder nor a special rivet tool. I fill the hole in the pop rivet then paint over it. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for video/ will order those. Although, most video recommend the higher voltage model- I have the 120- only will use for thin sheet metal- perhaps a fender on the vehicle Thanks again
Saved me lots of hours freeing the toy tires I want. Will save me hours of pulling, pain and strain in the future! I heated the axle by putting a house candle 🕯️ under it for less than a minute and those wheels just popped right off. 😃 A wonderful feeling to experience! What great advice!
Man! I like what your doing customizing these trucks. I've done a few but not many. I started then life got un the way but things are coming back the way they should be. So my question is.... where did you get your tires and rims? I like those style on these Olds trucks. I've used 1:16 big farm peterbilt tires and rims for a couple of my builds but it perdy expensive to buy a hole truck just for tires and rims.
Thanks buddy.. Yeah your right on the wheels, they're hard to get, amd usually a little expensive.. The wheels on this are ertl big road or farm or something.. lol. I lucked out and caught the trucks on an after Christmas sale for like $20/ea.. lol. So I stocked up

@HUNK - N - JUNK Custom pressed steel toys yea the ones I found were ertl big farm. I even tried to find the company that made those to see ifvthey would sell just thevtires and wheels. But no luck. Thanks again.
