Not really an Amplitube, but a Tonex tip for profiling. I have a RTX4090 and a Ryzen 7900 and disabling HAGS (hardware accelerated graphic scheduling) cut my rendering time in literal half. Basically it takes about 2 minutes in normal mode to render now.
I have an M1 ultra Apple studio. I downloaded Reaper Universal. I followed your instructions a dozen times. it will NOT install. I downloaded arm 64 for my os Sonoma. I placed it in the user folder. When I reboot reaper I do NOT get the apple warning nor is there any message in my Apple system/privacy folder. There is no "anyway"to click. Do you have any idea why my extensions won't I stall?
I did that the last 11 attempts with no results whatever. Do you think I should move my Reaper dir in Library to a storage drive, download a new Reaper universal, and try the process again?
@@TheREAPERBlog Preferences - General - Keyboard/Multitouch - Prevent ALT key from focusing main menu(ON). When I click once in piano roll on piano key(vertical piano keys on the left side) or on a pitch name - ALT starts to focus on main menu and I need to press ALT twice. Check it please on your system, thanks. (My Reaper is v7.22, Win 11)
It should be the other way around - most likely most ppl are used to dragging from the routing button - and that should have remained as keeping the 3/4 but if you want something a bit fancy - Ok you can have that drag the send option. Still very cool and thanks for vid saving our time!
How to use the expression pedal without it affecting the volume of all tracks? Or the opposite of that, disabling the expression pedal as volume on any track?
Ive had issues with Global Sampler not allowing me to drag and drop after highlighting. As well as the insert at cursor option. It worked great for my midi controller on the actual track but it won't on my guitar bus.
Is there a way to control which channel reaper writes the various MIDI files to? E.g. if I need the MIDI on track 1 to go to the channel 1. Track 2 to channel 2, and so forth?
If you can do a video with an mpc 2000 or 2000xl that would be great but also I think your guide here will show me what to do as the videos on RU-vid to do that are ancient and very poor quality too. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Strange. I recently got Amplitube 5 and purchased their Leslie speaker pack and was getting crackles and pops at buffer rates that should be fine. While playing around with it I found that if I switched to dual split mode and then back, like you are showing, the noise went away completely, and I can use the sounds. There must be a connection.
on another note the last iteration of the launchkey has a fantastic DAW integration with live; really wish they just ditch the keyboard part and make a nocturn 2 with all these features
stumbling upon this video. Ableton allows you to pretty easily create remote scripts. You could just ditch all the outdated "smart" function of this controller and just use it as a plugin remote; ableton would automap the first eight parameters to the encoders (and you could have a bank select with the buttons too). this or berhginer x-touch mini could work perfectly like this (and you could also have volumes / pans on different pages why not if the controller allows for that)
Really helpful! I've been using grooveboxes as my main production tools recently but up til now had been doing this in a very janky way. Thanks for bringing me into the future!
Hello friend, sorry for my english language but I can't find the answer anywhere. I use REAPER on 2xPC 1x win10 1x win11 S command doesn't work for me on my win11 PC Item: Split items at edit or play cursor (select right) if i mark all tracks. Thank you very much for your help
this works but I don't think you can disable the audio from the side-chain track doing it this way to the master - I always have a dedicated (silent) side-chain track for pumping so I can use a track other than the main kick in case I change the main kick levels etc. So, I would go with creating a submaster track, and piping all the audio tracks through it, then send 3-4 of the dedicated side-chain to a compressor on that track.
same thing. You can mute the audio item, or bypass the plugin to kill the send. I've personally never liked routing through submaster. reminds me of mixing in pro tools lol
reaper only plays audio that you pasted when its like 2 seconds ahead, is there any way to fix this? Sometimes i paste in drums by ear and it throws me off a lot
i use this method for my IR's and it's great. True, most guitar IR loaders have a phase adjust and independent levels per IR, but honestly it's nice to just use whats there. That said I wish we'd get an update with indi levels and alignment features. You can now do this with FX containers, it's just not as simple as a single plug instance. i'd look more into 3rd party loaders but most I've tried don't work with screen readers and aren't worth my time. cheers
Hi, thank you very much for the video, I was wondering if there was any way to hide FX - ROUTE - Enveloppe - Phase, for the master track in the MIXER ? Basically, same option hiding/showing buttons (9:46 in the video) but for the master track ? Thx !
Unfortunately (my v7.22) Reaper can't loop and keep sending external MIDI clock on time. I am using lots of hardware sequencers via a MOTU MIDI Express 128 and a Midronome and although I have 0 issues with Ableton Live 12, Logic Pro X, Cubase 12...when Reaper loops for 8/16/32 bars, it randomly goes sloppy with external MIDI clock upon looping and this is increasingly worse as the project gets bigger. Buffer settings don't make a difference The other DAWs don't suffer from this, only Reaper, which points to Reaper being the culprit and not something with my set up. The work around is to not use any loop points, which sucks.
ah you just tricked me into jamming the same 8 bar loop for an hour. very clever /jk it seems reliable to me. I've got poly-d, minilogue xd playing sequences connected with usb. MIDI out of poly-d to send clock to rd-6, chained to Volca sample. only managed to desync it by unplugging cables. But I can imagine that heavy plugin usage or undoing actions could desync it too
Hi Jon. Sorry for a bit out of scope; I submitted on the reaper forum this feature request: " Enabling MIDI Key Snapping When Recording". What do you think about it?
This way is fucking stupid (thanks to Reaper, not you). I'm glad you show it, because my whole workflow was completely fucked. You saved the day by showing how to reset to two channels. No matter what, this is a stupidly complicated process.
