NO PENALTIES for either, Gonçalves asked for help (not clear to whom) to get the bike out and got a 6 hour penalty, Desprès got 8 minutes "shaved" from his stage time to "compensate roadbook error"!!!!!!!!!!!! Are these the graceful winners of the Dakar? Sounds more like a french conspiracy!!!!!!
