I would say good brushes and some contrast paints from citadel is a good place to start, also cleanimg the minis before priming them is important

@@DH-ew9op so im currently using mostly greys and whites, so mechanicus standard grey, administratum grey, grey seer, ulthuan grey, p3 formula morrow white then nuln oil as the shade, then for the mouth pink horrow with highlights of emporors children and fulgrim pink, washed with bezerker bloodshade, then for the water probably go for Terradon Turquoise, and use blacks and whites to change the brightness of it, hope this helps
