Hi everyone, my actuator was broken for about two years, I just kept procrastinating before I tried to fix it. My coolant sensor went bad and I HAD to fix that. Disconnected the battery, did the sensor change and it took me about two days to realize my power door lock actuator started working again! Just may want to try it before you rip the door apart. Good luck! Please give me some feedback.
you just change the chain and tensioner and solve the code P0017?? I had a elantra 2017 with the same problem and i think thats the fault in the engine, because I inspected the variable gears and I see that they are fine, but the tensioner does not move smoothly. before at all this i replace the exhaust solenoid as it was stuckt, but the signals and voltages are fine. Can you explain me the problem in your case?.
I have a 08 Silverado and changed the fuel pump twice and still showing that p069e code and also wants to die on its own. I domt wanna buy the control module if it isn’t the problem
Sometimes when I'm driving and hit the brake pedal the steering power goes off, do you know what it could be causing this? When I use a scanner tool the codes are 1260 and 2412, if i delete the codes i get power steering for a while and then it fails again
My issue with my 2017 GMC Acadia limited is that it drives fine when it’s cold and a bit warm but once really hot stars to shudder really bad on take off and on reverse would changing the tcm help solve my issue?
mine had bad exhaust phaser took off valve cover, tired moving exhaust Cam, sure enough it rotated freely out of sync with timing assembly. if you go this route don't use a lot of force to move cam bc your turning engine with basically the cam shaft. just enough force to see if free spins and if free spins do not start car afterwards the valves may be damaged. codes p0017, drove like this for a while. i got lucky. about $2000 repair at shop

Whoever designed this should be horse whipped! Having to disassemble and reassemble all of this just to replace a sensor?!!! It's insane! They couldn't have just put it in a location easy to get to? It's just a money making scheme... most of us would have to carry it to the dealership or Kia mechanic and it probably cost a small fortune to get it done!
Today the dealer told me it it would cost $695. for a 2019 Sorento. The oil light has intermittently went on for the last 18 months. Not sure it needs to replaced if it's not leaking?
Question: My intake cam is set flat for the cam locking tool, but I have to twist my exhaust cam a little bit clockwise to fit the tool in the rear slot. This opens up the exhaust valves slightly on cylinder #2, is this normal?? I have my old head and a rebuilt head, it’s the same. Also, since we took the cam phasers off, how do we set them? I can’t see any marks showing which position they should be in. Mine have numbers 1 and 2 showing on the face, I think 1 is for the intake side…?
Sorry my 2016 200 brake is spongy just happened yesterday, was driving and when to brake and it was like knocking or kicking back, when I had to apply ton of pressure to stop, did the start the engine hold brake and turn it off while holding 30 sec and pedal did not rise or fall just stayed, no engine but brake light on.
Hi i have a p0017 code. Changed both solenoids. Car runs but the code still pops up. No engine knock. But I was told it could be that before they even looked at it what should I tell the mechanic to inspect ?

After I changed all rockers and lifters, I noticed the knocking Noise sounds when the RpM goes up above 3, do you think it’s a Rod Bearing for sure? I also I keep getting code P0019 crankshaft Position-camshaft position correlation Bank 2-Sensor2. Do you think it’s because the spark plug I just changed and got them from Amazon? hey man, i have a 2018 elantra 2.0L 141.000 miles I have code p0017 and p0014 i stall sometimes at low speed/stop signs/red lights have some trouble start the engine sometimes and it makes a weird noise, it’s also shaking it has trouble up shift gears (takes a long time to up shift), so poor acceleration and rpm jumps because it takes more time to upshift do you have any ideas? thanks! 🙏
