Thanks brother nice attitude! first video and I already like you! which one would you get considering the LH7P is only 1000 nits bright? I'm concerned is not going to be bright enough outdoors...
The top nato rail kinda bends/moves when you attach the top handle to it. Is it just me or is it the same case with you guys as well? Here is how you test it, attach a top handle to your Falcam FX3 cage's top plate and then mount your camera to a tripod and then move/bend your top handle. Remember to LOCK the tripod's movement. I think it is the rubber but no top plate should be moving like that. I am afraid it might damage the FX3 original mounting screw holes.
Nice video! I really like the green text with the box for the various components you added to the video. Can you tell me what editing program you use and what function of the software that might be from? Thanks so much!
Hi. What firmware is needed for my FX3 to connect to the LH5PII? I wrote to Portkeys and I know I have the latest firmware for the monitor, but when I hit the connection button I keep getting the message “connection failed. Please close the window and try again.” Can you help with this?
The Movnorm firmware is needed. It’s the newest one they released about 2 months ago. The old firmware with the old school font and red color theme, doesn’t work at all since the FX3 had its latest firmware update. The connection only works on the newest MovNorm firmware
The most recent they released earlier this year. I can’t remember the exact number. But the MovNorm software for Portkeys was resigned specifically in response to the new FX3 update
Thank you, this was a great video, although I'm trying to figure out how to edit audio as I accidentally recorded an interview where my guests' mic didn't work. Do have any videos that show how I can edit out this error using the camera's audio and my mic's audio without any mic bleed?
I need a wide lens..I like the Samyang 35 mm 1.8, it's small, light, autofocus good, nice colors....I also like the Samyang 35 mm 1.4, mk I version, but I can't decide which of the two -it would be better for portraits and landscape stills...great content, thank you so much! Subscribed!
Hi, I can´t reply recorded footages on my fx3 when I connect the PORTKEYS LH5P II :/ I have to disconnect a hdmi cable and then it works. Have you tried it? Could you advise me how to set fx3 correctly... Many thanks
I mainly use the monitor to playback footage. There may be some Finder/Monitor settings you will have to adjust in the FX3. But it works perfectly on my end. I’ll make a video walking through it
Coming to your nice video being interested by the HEDBOX UNIX system in first place. It's amazing to see that infos on these are pretty scarce, even though these units seem to be great on paper. What is your feeling about this particular Hedbox which you used to power your camera? Is it still working properly since the day you released that video? Any DC surcharge noticed? Thank you very much for your help, since you're the only youtube channel available mentioning this unit in your videos ! 🙂
Thank you so much watching and big thank you for your kinds words! Now….the HEDBOX, this specific unit is obsolete these days. Mainly because, man, V MOUNT technology has progressed soooo much. Once we got USB-C, USB-A, AND D-Tap in one battery, now all you need is the plate of your choice. Hope this helps!
@@mariodevon_Thank you for your input! Indeed you are right, we have more choices now that we can get all these connections from the battery itself, but what’s nice with full connection on the plate itself is the fact that it allows battery swapping on the go, without having to detach and reattach all the cables each time. On the opposite side, i see that having all connections on the battery itself allows quick and easy config change (like having the battery on a vmount belt for a while, in order to reduce main rig weight and so on). Anyway man, i think you vid is still up to date, even if i am curious to know more of your actual rig and how it could evolve over time!
Love you too Mario! Learnt a lot from your comparative video! personally i think I go for Sony A7 IV because of the lens availability yet saving some money! Good luck!
wow Mario thank you so much for this amazing video, you have answered so many of my questions and I absolutely loved that you did the color grading on 4 totally different clips. I really feel confident now to try it myself. You are amazing ❤😊
Sony made the wise decision to by out minolta after doing so capitalize on their technology and eventually going into the mirrorless system , which at first upset me lol but now I'm all in on the mirrorless .Well almost that is, I still own a few of the SLR's that I still love
Recently Canon opened up the RF mount to third party manufacturers like Sigma and Tamron, BUT ONLY FOR APS-C. There's a reason for that. Almost no professionals are using aps-c these days, they're nearly all using Full Frame. Canon does not want to invest as much money into R&D for dedicated APS-C lenses for the much smaller mass consumer market which demands these lenses be on the cheaper side. So they opened the rf mount up for apsc hoping Sigma, Tamron or whoever will fill that lens gap in the aps-c market for them. Having them fight over the scraps in the low cost lens market. That's really scummy of Canon to do that. Sony is no saint either, look at playstation, but at least for cameras the current E-Mount system and A series cameras are far more consumer and professional friendly.
I’m not a fan of talking heads but this is the first one I ever listened to for every single second. Appreciate the real talk man, this sacrifice hasn’t been easy working 9-5 and 5-10 😂
