Do any of you people making comments on here have any idea of what punctuation is? Jesus. And your spelling of certain words is atrocious. “Portuguese water dogs WHERE BREAD into existing terriers”. For the love of God man! WERE BRED
I have a Beauceron bitch, just over three years old. She is just about mature now, but it took forever! She is loving and protective and funny. They always say, not for inexperienced dog owners and I can see why. She is her own dog. I really wish that they wouldn’t crop dogs' ears, it is so unnecessary and so cruel. Why is it still permitted in some countries?
I just adopted a GP. The lady who had to give him up did a great job training him. He is THE best dog I’ve ever had. A true gentle giant with a bark that tells a bad guy “that’s right…move TF along”
Lhasas typically don't shed. I have had Lhasas and in my experience, they do not shed at all. In this video, you say that they shed constantly. This is incorrect. Also, all the Lhasas at home were friendly, never bit nor snapped at anyone. They got along with people and dogs, even with cats! Maybe I got lucky, or maybe it was the early socializing that made them that way. But, yes, Lhasas are known to be a bit aloof and temperamental.
Mine is a mix of some sort. She's 12 and has seen better days, but she's the best. I didn't have any idea what she was, but her behavior fit perfectly. She just lay in the front yard all day and was very wary of everything and barked as necessary . At sundown she perked up and barked at every shadow.. Aloof, but loves attention at times.
I have never had a Staffordshire bull terrier myself, but my neighbor had one named George. I loved that dog. George was a big sweetheart but not exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier (no disrespect meant, but it's true). I went to check my mail one day and there was George, sitting on my porch. He was ecstatic to see me--wagging his tail, jumping on me, licking my hands--but he'd gotten loose and his owner wasn't with him. After petting him, I took hold of his collar and told him to show me how he'd gotten out. George happily led me to the open patio door he'd escaped from and obediently jumped back inside when I told him to. Most of my neighbors were frightened of George because he was big, hyper, and a bully breed. I was cautious around him as I would be around any dog, and I enjoyed having him nearby. I miss him.
Health. He forgot to mention the breed is susceptible to bloat! I'm a Standard Poodle Service Dog Owner-trained Service Dog handler, and both of my dogs (different breeders) have bloated. I'm currently on the hunt for a new puppy and hope to raise enough money to get the pup a special surgery when they're of age (1 year).
My staffy/chihuahua is going to be the dog that none of my future dogs can hold a candle to. She once helped me pick up my room. She saw me picking up a paper plate that my big dog shredded, and started picking up pieces and handing them to me. She did this until my room was clean. She distracts me when I’m stressed by intelligently disobeying the “Don’t bonk my hand with your nose” rule (she only does it when I’m very upset) She’ll sit and focus on me even if a reactive dog is barking at her 2-3 feet away. She plays frisbee like a monster She knows an insane amount of tricks that people always love to see like rollover, crawl, head down, etc. (if I would’ve known about akc trick dog titles when I first got her, she could’ve been one. Her only problem is that she sometimes throws tricks for treats in public bc I didn’t work her enough in public while she was growing up. She’s 8 now). She picks up her toys even though she was never taught to do so She knows the command “go get water” She’ll let a complete stranger pick her up and hold her like a baby She’d be a cgc if she wasn’t too focused on potential random food on the floor I’m so glad the only thing she got from her chihuahua parent is a slightly more slender face and a slightly shorter body lol That dog? She’s a staffy.
Wow , I have 2 Dameranian and I didn't know the name "Domeranian" exist for the mixt between Spitz and Teckel. Your video describes my dogs really well! 😀
