Should have included "People are People" Cabaretish end of "Just Can't Get Enough" was cool, great show. Yep hard to believe I knew their songs in primary school 40yrs ago, rock on Depeche Mode.
I didn't realize they were inducted into the rock hall of fame. They deserve it, but there have been many glaring omissions as well as curious inductees
I watch this, and feel so sad. That it's over. We've moved so far beyond this feeling. We were young, and wanted more. Did we get it? I'm 67 now...in my 20's then and living in W. Germany. The music, the clothes, the dancing...........
God bless all of you Devotees out there for saving and uploading concert audio & footage from back in the day. It means it lot to me and no doubt to others who were born too late to witness DM's golden years in person.
What put an end to DM was the disappearance of bands in the 90s. On top of that Gore couldnt churn out a hit and Wilder was out. Their album after Enjoy the silence captures perfectly the transition between pop and grunge. Afterwards everything came crashing down
First time I ever heard Everything Counts I was ice skating at a rink in the south of England. Decades later I hear that incredible track and am immediately transported back.
A shame that whoever put this together chose to zoom in, lowering the resolution, making the picture fuzzier in order to create a widescreen image from the original 4:3 frame ratio.
These clips would be great but they've been wrecked by zooming into the frame to make a 4:3 ratio into 16:9 widescreen. We can also throw things at the Tube's reissue people for using that horrendous artificial stereo effect.
