The only real hard vs soft is in regards to those who believe these entities are real vs those who don't, and I don't think anyone in modern times actually does. It's all just LARPing.

I would personally wait a while before doing the spell again. With spells like this, they take time to work so it may be months before you see results. And yes, names can be added to the spell if you're trying to attract a specific person. It's not something I would do myself, but it is possible.

Love kayaking. My mom took me paddle boarding for the 4th of July and I enjoyed it as it is similar to kayaking but you’re standing or kneeling and it’s harder to capsize yourself. No, I haven’t capsized myself kayaking but I felt more in control paddle boarding. We were planning to watch the fireworks up there as well, but after 2 hours on the lake, we still had 3 hours until sunset so we just went home. Totally agree. Fireworks are pretty, but I’m not paying, and I don’t like lighting them.
I've always wanted to try paddleboarding, too! I haven't capsized myself in the kayak yet 😆 but we got the sit on top ones that are a bit more stable than the sit inside ones. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

I'm planning to make a video discussing the AI problem in the spiritual community (and as a whole) and your video is one of the few videos that actually addresses the issues with generative AI instead of praising it up and down. I hope you don't mind me referencing this in the future (... Eventually. I don't have the energy to type a literal essay and hunt down citations right now). It hurts my heart as both an artist and nature-lover to see so many people in this community rely on AI art/chat GPT when it steals from us *and* is harming the planet. It confuses me how so much of the spiritual community doesn't seem aware of the harm the servers are causing, or even just how much it discourages artists both professional and growing.

Also I understand the personal practice struggle I also have a spiritual job but have recently found less time for my personal practice. This is what all mothers experience. And there is a large selection of moms that work more than one job and go to school some don’t have a wonderful partner to help out. There’s even some of us that do it as widows so we don’t even get the every other weekend break. Embracing a spiritual life this video did not actually do. It did let me know that you’re having a hard time,for that I’m sorry, As someone who did school worked and had a child all well. My husband was dying from ASL and then gone. I can give you some really good advice. if you can’t stay on track with the videos and being a mother, maybe you should just be a stay at home mom. Your husband is around. It sounds like to take care of things, so do it on one income put the videos aside and just enjoy the summer and be a mom. You will not get this time back with your child or with your husband.
I feel like you kind of missed the whole point of my video...? First - I'm sorry for the loss of your husband. I can't imagine how difficult that must have been (and still is). Parenting is difficult, and while I can never understand your struggles of parenting as a widow, your struggles being more difficult don't negate my struggles and difficulties. If that's not what you meant to imply, then I'm sorry, but that is 100% the way your comment comes off. Second - the video is about embracing the spiral of life, not necessarily spirituality, but even the downsides of life and spiritual practice are spirituality. It isn't all happiness, joy, and positivity all the time. Third - RU-vid is my hobby and creative outlet. It is not a source of income for me in any way besides the occasional check every couple of months when I hit the $100 threshold. Living on one income is a privilege we can't afford, so yes, I still have to work. However, RU-vid is not my job. My main job is online, yes, but I am a Community Manager and Content Specialist for someone else's business -- my entire day is taken up by witchcraft and paganism as topics, answering questions, writing articles, and running events. My entire point in bringing up being a mother was that spending time with my family is taking a higher priority over my spiritual practice. Fourth - I consider myself a SAHM because I freelance and work at home. My child is homeschooled and we are around each other literally all the time. Some of that time is spent just existing, doing our own thing in the same room. Other times it is spent in completely different rooms. And still other times we are doing things together. So, I don't know if it's me struggling to interpret the tone of your comment, but it comes off as very insensitive and invalidating.

I feel you on the distance between practice. In some ways I think that spending the time to connect my practice to the seasons of nature has also helped give me perspectives on my burnout/depression. When you talked about the push and pull between days where you are so depressed you can't make yourself do anything and days where you want to do everything but can't it hit so close! Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable, the representation means a lot.
Connecting to the seasons of nature has been really important for me over the years. There's a book I read a while ago called Wintering that's all about embracing the times in our lives when we need to slow down and just exist. I dont think hard polytheists realize that just because their is a source or monad from which other deities flow/emanate deny's that divinities divinity. I would think many soft polytheists like many hindu sects and other soft polytheists would say that just because a God is an emanation of a higher God this deny's the polytheism of many groups. Neoplatonic one and emanation comes from pagan philosophy and would probably be described as soft polytheism. Additionally santeria(and othe west african religions) believe that all the orishas(gods) descend from a high God/force olorun who is different. Doesnt mean this divinities arent distinct in their own right but they are all interconnected by a universal unity.
I think that would probably depend on the hard polytheist you speak with and what they believe. I personally don't believe in a higher source or power, so the divinities I interact with are very distinct on their own. I can't speak for other people, though 🤷♀️
What a rollercoaster! That was so dirty to back out like that, knowing you had accepted the offer, and now have nowhere. Now you're saddled with foundation issues (been there, done that). They claim it violated ToS, but nobody is claiming the items "do" something.
Yeah, it was such a nightmare 😭 this whole experience has been one big thing right after another and I'm hoping it calms down eventually lol thank you for the congratulations! And I have no clue what Etsy's doing, honestly... it's ridiculous but there's literally nothing I can do, especially when all I had was crocheted stuff!
Modern medicine is nice and all, but they’d honestly use it to keep people more sick than we already are. I love the idea of AI doing good, but in the US there is no hope for AI to do anything but trouble in my mind.
That's also something that I'm trying to grapple with 😂 I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, even when statistically I know the chances are slim. It would probably end up being an extra fee or premium for the AI to do it's good thing, further pushing out the impoverished and people without healthcare.
The other thing about AI is the environmental toll. The energy used in the training of the AI, all the servers used for it, all the electricity, all the physical materials needed (like the resources from Congo) play into it. I appreciate you trying to talk about the potential upsides because I'm the same! I make a lot of physical art like embroidery or polymer clay. I suck at Photoshop. It would be so awesome to do a quick little mock up of my ideas. But I refuse to use any AI until it stops being so unethical in so many ways (Also can you imagine 5 years from now all the AI generated correspondence lists. Ugh)

You mention correspondence lists lol but you can literally go into chatGPT right now and ask it to generate a list like that and it has zero context. It's absolutely horrifying.
A I is out of control. When health insurance companies are using it to evaluate whether they should pay claims or not based on an algorithm. Then a human looks at the claim for less than 5 seconds and appeals get denied. I worked in that industry for over 20 years, I can't believe this is what it has come to.
I 100% agree with that - AI is really a double-edged sword in that regard because it may make things faster, but it's only as good as the people behind it. An AI or algorithm should absolutely not be making decisions on whether claims are paid or not 👏 I couldn't imagine being in HIT anymore and how that's impacting the medical records and coding aspect, too. It's really horrible!
There is a great article on PC magazine. How to protect your website from Open AI’s ChatGPT web crawlers. It might help keep your website from some AI.

i really appreciate this video! i've heard about shadow work through various polytheist bloggers for years and it's always kind of scared me because of how much i have buried. but i think i might finally be in a good place for it and things might be getting pointed about telling me so, and i remembered you'd done a video about it when researching (and i read some CRAP when researching, so honestly, THANK YOU!). i've been wondering how much you've worked with Brigid through this and how that's gone for you? do you talk about that in the book? i was devoted to her years ago and have been working to redevelop that relationship, and i know if i go down this road, she'll be involved. it's honestly a little terrifying lol my time at the anvil etc etc
Thank you for watching and I'm glad it helped! It can be really hard to approach shadow work when you have different things buried such as trauma, abuse, or anything similar. It's important to approach shadow work with a good support system, which I do talk about in my book, because without having people to support you, you may end up in negative cycles and not able to heal and integrate. I don't talk about my work with Brighid and shadow work. Honestly, I feel like Brighid had more of a passive hand in my shadow work journey. I never specifically asked her for help, but she does tend to put her followers and devotees on the proverbial anvil. She is a goddess associated with healing, too, so that's also important to keep in mind. I'm sure you'll be okay! I know several people who have worked with her through their shadows and everyone seems to be doing alright 💖
