Yeah fr. This is the last one I’ve recorded cuz I stopped caring but yeah I may finish it later, idrc tho. I’d rather get better first then teach than teach before good
Easier for me to trace/remember if I have parity. Left finger on cube is to focus on the pieces I focus on, right finger is counting parities. I usually watch movies/shows on another screen so I’m not paying attention to the cube and forget traces. Also good practice imo, helps remind you with nerves at a comp
yeah that’s fair. I also have a comp next month, idk if I’m gonna use PBL tho. If I don’t, I’ll just spend the last week or so practicing with CPEP again to get used to it
@@Voxarity yeah I really think OBL is more worth it cuz you could have a max of 9 slices for COEO versus max of 6 slices Also PBL is pain definitely can’t learn it in a month It will be 4 months after starting PBL by my next comp, hope it will be enough
@Square-one123 Yeah and OBL isn’t too hard to learn. Good luck at ur comp, hope PBL pays off. as for PBL, I could learn it in like 2-3 weeks tbh if I really grinded, but I’d rather go thru each case than rush learning it
Thanks, I don’t care about times at the moment, I’m just trying to get used to/practice PBL. I’m still in the early stages of PBL learning so recognition is very slow.
If I grind, i can finish the double no parity PBLs today. I’m just really tired for no reason. As for OBL, 4 slicers have the most cases. 1-3 slicers are fairly easy, 4 just has a lot, 5 is the most annoying imo (there’s a lot too and they’re harder than 4s) and 6 is easy
I haven’t learned all of it, I know a bit over half but now I’m taking time to go over each case individually to make sure I got it down. I think I’m ~25-30% done idk something like that
Thanks! Grinding some PBL rn so once I finish (after the initial hit of an extra 10-15 sec bc i’m not used to it) I should start averaging a good bit faster
I remember learning this one, took me a while to understand it too. Just skip it and come back if necessary, it’ll click once you get a better grasp of OBL
Yeah, it’s one of the most used OBLs. How OBL works is you do one move and get it to a familiar case, so like for a 5 slicer, you do a slice and you have a 4. then slice and you have a 3 etc until kite/kite
tbh PBL isn’t even that hard once u understand it. and understanding it is just spamming algs until u get one u know. I’m almost done with full no parity/no parity but it’s horribly slow so gotta practice obv. And yeah for OBL maybe learn that during a break from PBL, it’s not too hard
feels blockier than Derpy's if that makes sense. may just be because I've used it more and the lubes run out idk. tbh the cube u get doesnt matter. just get any mgc, itll be good
@Square-one123 you could try 2-alg PBL. I’m going to start with that because it’s only ~70 algs iirc. basically u do 2 algs to solve a pbl instead of just 1. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FPKH174GKQA.htmlsi=382Mk_w-zHbIXkz2 and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ASyErFJ-O6Y.htmlsi=F3qbHmCUWxMIsOZ5
I don’t know it yet but I have 2 algs. you’ll need to figure out orientation and whatever but idk try it out. 10 e' u e' F e' -10 (if ydk karnotation e’ is -3,-3 u is 2,-1 and F is 4,1) 0,-1/3,3/4,1/-3,-3/-1,2/-3,-3/
I have a tripod behind and to the left of my chair facing into the desk. Just test as many angles as you can think of and use the one you like the most.
I'm going through a lot of changes irl so probably no more comps for another few months... as for the solve, yeah squan is like that. There's a huge gap between like sub-20 and 40+, just keep practicing and learn algs
same as the 9 (CS/CSP OBL CP/EP). I finished learning OBL a bit ago and I’m not very comfortable with it yet. I got Cut/T and forgot how to do it that’s why it was slow
