Great video. My wife and I are both new to RVing, and we will be here for a while, it looks almost identical in size to yours. I was wondering, what size and thickness of skirting material? I'm glad I saw this before spending all the money for snaps!
Hi Janae & Tucker. We will be passing through that area mid April 2024. Is there parking for fifth wheels near there to just do the hike? We would not be spending the night. There are two of us traveling together. Thanks for any advice.
Hi! While it's probably possible, we wouldn't recommend it. The area is quite sandy and can be difficult to navigate with a big rig if the area is congested.
That hvac tap doesn't work long term. Those Snaps are what keeping that tap together. I've tried to installed 16mil tarp for front garage. The tap lasted few hours, then decided to fall down side by side.
I'm looking to do my fiver this coming winter. Here in the four corners area, we do get frequent high winds, so I think I'll go with boat snaps. Instead of gluing the snaps to the rig, I'll use the kind that screw in (I'll put a block of wood behind the aluminum where i can to give some strength) and to use tent stakes on the bottom. Your ideas are cool!
Great tutorial video. I liked and subscribed because I just purchased this item and was looking for a straight forward tutorial. Not a lot drama and B. S. Thanks
In the last 1 ½ years I have had to change my Latch-it door latch 3 times for a known defect! The key will not insert in to the lock. I’m lucky I have a toy hauler, in each case when I get inside my RV I could not turn the deadbolt lever at all. Latch-it knows about this problem and now you cannot call them on the phone any more. I hope if you have a Latch-it door latch I hope you have a comfortable truck or another way in to your RV you more than likely will need it. I went with RV lock v4 this time so far so good.
This is the video I've been looking for, where someone actually takes off the base and trims it down for a _smaller_ bed. My RV mattress with a memory foam topper is super comfortable, but I can't stand not having any room around it. By the way, please use protective eyewear when cutting wood. You never know when particles might fly into your eyes. 👀
Most beautiful place. I love Iceland. Went there during Northern Hemisphere winter after leaving Southern Hemisphere Summer, what a contrast, truly amazing. Give me cool climate any day. Magical place.
