Thank you SO much for making this step by step how to video!! I was able to easily replace my OEM start/stop button. I was rather reluctant to dig into my dash and start unplugging things. Especially on a luxury sports car. Your video gave me the confidence I needed. Thank you again!
I changed the oil, the mechanic reset it manually but the oil only gave me 6k km for the next service and below it appears non-executable reset being green, I see cases where this non-executable reset does not allow the service to be carried out, do you know why that is? Since the brake fluid reset is impossible, please help me. Me
Hi mate, great video. I've purchased a replacement red trim but have no idea how replace it. Hope you don't mind me asking if you could possibly help? Trim around start button from black to this new red 1
Are BMW’s worth getting only every time I say about getting a series 1 people always say steer clear clear of any BMW because they’re always breaking down or having trouble
13:54 you are cleaning the air filter box with a rag. Take it out instead and wash it. It is only held in on 2 sliders and easily relocates. Nice video.
i have a 2014 1 series just like yours. I have been servicing it at an auto shop for the past 2 years. Now after this i am atleast abit more clued up on what to do. I have start changing y own oil from now and filters. that is a job i can save an expense on. anything else ill just take it in. Thank you for an informative video. Great calm steps and well detailed and i can actuallly see what youre doing. not rushed. just perfectly explained ! thank you sir !

Hi mate might be late but you can jack it from the front - directly. There is a round circle on the under tray toward the back marking the jack point. Make sure you use a good trolley jack as a lot of weight, with a flat surface ideally with the rubber pad to avoid damaging the tray. Once up you can use a jack stand either side on the bmw jacking points. You can get two rubber inserts to rest on the top of the stands for better stability and to avoid damaging the plastic.
Just curious, after you replaced the drain plug on the bottom why didn’t you pre lube the filter and O rings before inserting the filter back in and then fill the oil reservoir I thought this was “good practice” but I could be wrong. Thanks for the video, very informative.
