Training videos for Amazon delivery drivers. While primarily for Amazon DSP drivers, many of these training videos are applicable for Amazon Flex drivers too.
I am a trainer and delivery driver for an Amazon DSP in Colorado. I deliver on most days that I am not training. I have been an Amazon delivery driver since October, 2019 and just went through my third Peak season in 2021.
This guy is amazing, he's got his system down so well! Would be nice if amazon required actual knocking and handing to residants again. I know "slows" down deliveries but it makes them safe. So many people have taken pictures after delivering and then taken them with them and blamed it on porch pirates/came back with a face covering if there is a door cam.
This is not hard to do, nor is it the problem. If you sorted your packages better you could probably almost double your time. We also aren’t allowed to drive with the side door open they monitor it, unless you’re in a step van. The main problems when doing a route is apartment complexes with multiple buildings none of which you can access. Call and compliance, one-time passcodes and gps glitches are what slows me down. Plus ridiculously long travel times
Ya that would be nice but when you have 18 full totes plus 34 overflow, 10 of which are XL there is no good way of loading in a cargo van. I even triple stacked my totes on the drivers side and overflow on the right and still had absolutely no room to move
didnt know that ..looking to get into this... but then again this vid is from 4 years ago im sure they made it more simple now no need to scan like that
Definitely put the biggest and heaviest packages in the back. Then you can just open the back door, grab the dolly if needed, and quickly get it done. Otherwise they’ll be in the way and will take significantly more time and effort to get out.
The station Im working now they only give us 15 to 16 bags every day and about 25 overflow boxes with 325 to 350 packages no less 180 to 190 stops every day every bag has about 30 packages loaded to the max.
The fact he rolls past the stop signs and don't turn the car off and put the emergency brake up and turn on the emergency lights when parked is crazy that's a big no no at my amazon dsp he got it way to easy
The more i watch this video the more i get annoyed by that guy critiqueing him on shit that doesn't matter. Instead he should be praising him because that driver is absolutely killing it. He should be thankful and praising him. That dude needs to stfu i hope he sees this.
If you can smell a fart thru a mask then it’s truly no reason to wear a mask…..because you don’t even wear gloves😂😂😂😂 what’s the point in wearing a mask 😂
Hm, this were recorded during the pre-covid/covid era March (2020). I'm really liking his work ethics even if the Supervisor is with him and filming him. Great job young man, being a Courier Delivery Driver is very physical work(out) and yeah to your vibing music too ... 😊👍🏾
How unsafe and unprofessional it is to ride with the sliding door open. No wonder why they pay Amazon drivers shit. Join the teamsters. UPS makes way more than you guys
That's what I need to do. Be the yeller instead of the yellee. Put my feet up on the desk. Picking up the phone. "John, I saw you taking 2-3 minutes strolling around that apartment complex, get it in gear!" Johnny says, "it's hot out here". I respond, "I ain't asking for a weather report!".
This only works if you don't have a lot of overflow. I had 19 bags and 47 overflow last week. I double stack the top shelf one bag on top of the other all the way down then i have a little more room for overflow. Amazon need to stop adding so much overflow and so many large boxes. The back of the van is always a mess
I figured cuz that shit looks way too easy. I usually get 18-20 bags, triple stack the totes like you said but I add bungee cords cuz it pisses me off when they fall & it gives hella room to put my last overflow stops. Plus with 18-20 bags and 20-30 overflow, Maybe that could work but I usually get 35-50 overflow so my van gets fucked
.6 seconds is not even enough time to even visually see the vehicle in front of you before something happens. I would say it would be at least a solid six seconds behind a vehicle in front of you as that is generally the trucking standard is between 6 and seven seconds following distance.
Today i had 18 bags and 44 overflow in a regular van like this, imo DPS' need to have better managaing of loading sizes for their vans. Because 184 stops with 353 packages is overworking your employees, the load size for a regular van is my biggest issue with this job atm
