Thank you! I have a limited license right now and must wait some time before going for a middleweight so doing my research. Being so reliable and around since forever I'm heavily consider about going for an used one vs a smaller bike. But not many on sale around this parts, mostly same gen than yours. Some things you think could be a non go or be cautious about when checking up?
Lovely looking bike! Those bars remind me a little of the Royal Enfield Continental 650. I’m looking for a Thunderbird at the moment. Once I’ve sold my Bandit 650 to make some room in my garage, I’ll get on a couple to test them! Cheers from France!
Thanks mate! My ol' 2010 V was struggling at high rpm and shutting off on idle when low on petrol. I replaced the messed up filter following your video, and performance is now fantastic. Cheers!
Nice one O'L Boy, hope you are keeping well. I think I am buggered, developed a thing that affects my balance, too frightened to drive on my bike until this passes, so the vstrom is put to bed. Take care of yourself.
Glad to see you up and about O’l Boy. I believe I’ll dump my back rack box for a milk crate. I really enjoy your channel and was blessed to hear the Bible scriptures this morning. My wife calls you my Australian doppelgänger because we have very similar RU-vid channels . I named my DR Rippa because I love when you say ,”She’s a Rippa” complementing Chugger . My channel is Slick Adventures… it’s just a hobby that helps keep me active ; however, I’m fixing to step things up and also start sharing my Christian faith. Thank you for sharing your faith and your beautiful country with us. Tommy Be Particular, Ol Slick
Hi Steve. Nice to see you doing what you enjoy. Nice little table. I just cane back from a 700km ride on my suzuki 1800 cruiser makes me feel healthy. Cheers John from Gold coast
Good video, it brought me peace to see and hear you. I have not watched the news for 2 years and a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Greetings from far away, Chile.
Thank you for your prayers for my country, I hope you are feeling better and getting to do what you love soon. Praying for your healing, and lots of peace. Thank you again for thinking of us when facing so much.
Hello Steve, have been following you and your problem. I have the same problem with my JD-310B, replaced the o-ring about 3 weeks ago and was using it to clear tree roots from our hurricane beryl we had a few weeks ago and it was idling and heard a hissing noise, looked around and oil was squirting everywhere. So back to the drawing board. You mentioned you had added shims and then blew a hyd hose, so took shims back out. Mine had 6 shim washers, so I removed 3 and just got it back together today so will crank it up in the morning while it is cooler to see what happens. Take care Steve, love your Australia as we were there a few years ago in Sydney
Hi John, I’m getting better slowly. The Doctors still can’t tell me what caused the problem. I have a specialist appointment soon and perhaps I’ll get some answers. Otherwise I’m feeling pretty good. Getting myself fit for another video. Thanks for asking. Regards from icy Victoria.
Thanks for making the video. My light came on. I didn’t know what was going on so I made the 45 minute trip back to the house can’t find anything wrong. After watching the video I figured out it is my front brake. I Bought the bike used with no owners manual. I’ll 2:50 to tighten up the lever later as it is now I have to push it close with backside of my fingers.
Your comment saved me an hour ago. I changed my grips today and was in a rush and didn’t set my control cover on properly and the bolts loosened up on my way back home and threw this code. I double checked it on the side of the road and fixed them and didn’t have an issue on my way home. Just got home 15 min ago 🤘🏻
Just so you know if your hydraulics seem slow or low on power. I found there is a screen in the bottom of the transmission where the little short back rubber line runs from bottom of transmission over the hydraulic filter. Little bit of a job to get out but it's worth pulling that screen out and cleaning. Most people don't even know about the screen in there. Hope it helps if your having hydraulic problems.
Have three 05 and 07 in South Africa dirt bike heaven. All family ridden for over 60,000 miles each, never an issue mechanically given proper maintenance, oil,air filters. The bikes are fantastic. Do not listen to the ass holes who review bikes they must find something wrong just to justify their existance. Today power is fuel mileage the 650 has sufficient power and speed to put you in a us jail for long time. Also have an unreliable bmw gs1200 2017. Touted as a premium bike, trust me ride it with while carrying your wallet, do not go far from home, carry a cel and phone for pickup. Also own a bmw 1984 r100rs air head, the last of on the road repairable BMWs. All my views, sorry bmw, cheers Suzuki.
Get better soon Ol'Boy. I was buggered in May, pneumonia then a heart attack because of lack of oxygen, still getting over it, you take care and best wishes.
Hi John yes there’s no place like home. I’m feeling pretty good all considered. I’m glad to hear you’re out riding and enjoying it. I can’t understand why some people don’t ride. Best therapy in the world 👍🏼
Hi John, I’m home a week now. Feeling better but it’s a slow road. I’ll have follow up treatment soon after the last of the tests come through which is in a few days. I’m up & about but not pushing it. Nice to hear from you. Much appreciated.
Hi John, I spent all last week in ICU and then they flew me to Melbourne for a kidney biopsy. I’ve been here three days and now hoping they’re onto what is wrong with me. I hope they’ll discharge me today or tomorrow. Cheers, Steve.
Steve mate I hope everything works out for you old chap. Sometimes you get dealt a shit hand . Hopefully you can get back on 2 wheels soon mate. Best medicine 💊👍
