Why don't you explain how you did it? Is it possible that there are no explanations in internet to do this hack? Does Ikea pay you not to explain it? 😂
Hi there, I'd like to do something similar with 3x 75cm wide Pax elements. And I was hoping you could give some hints/instructions on how you have fixed this; what parts did you use, what did you need to modify, etc? BTW I'm in NL, so hiring you from UK for a wardrobe assembly is not really worth it ;-) That's why I'm hoping you are willing to share some of your expertise.

@@thesydmalhotra we don't have sliding doors, but 'normal doors' in a rhythm of widths: 50-25-50-25-50-25. This makes it first of all less complicated, the rhythm looks quite playful and there's no difference in depth (where sliding doors are one in front of the other). I used "push to open" instead of knobs for a clean surface and placed a custom made plate around and above the doors to make it look as if they are custom builds. We are really happy with the result. Only downside is that you have to open more doors, so we made a clear distinction between her en and my wardrobe and one = shared for the ocaasional/seasonal wears.
Could you tell me the measurements of large space of the add on unit if i get that desk id like to add a mirror inside that part and want to know what the size is. Thaankss

Daybed are for 4 hours or less nap. It will give you back pain and break your back if you worked as a laborer. I almost tricked into buying the design. It is not a Soho custom/engineered for weight piece.
I bought one, full size, about 6 months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. They come in all the usual sizes. I bought the mattress that Ikea suggested and I'm very pleased. It takes 2 or 3 people to put it together but it lifts very easily and smoothly. One of the smartest purchases I've ever made.
What is the mattress weight limit for the malm storage bed lifting mechanism to safely function? When I asked the customer service person at Ikea they just kept saying I could only use a recommended Ikea Mattress.
I have this in my room as my full time bed, when i have friends over i convert it into a couch :) and when my girlfriend is round there is plenty of room for us both! I recommend this to anyone who wants a stylish bed/sofa
