BECCS does not remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. BECCS takes carbon sequestered in the world's forests, burns it in an inefficient 70s thermal power station and tries to capture the carbon again. It is not capturing CO2 from the atmosphere. It instead leaks CO2 and uses copious amounts of fossil fuel throughout the process of harvesting forests, drying and producing pellets and shipping them around the world.
Net zero is a scam. We have decades to prove that all this has done is prevent progress towards stopping climate change. The reality is that dramatic change is going to become necessary to fix the climate. We cant afford for industry to use any form of carbon capture to justify their carbon emmisions. Industry will need to find a way around it or they will need to be phased out. What would a world without the airline industry look like? Quite different, that's for sure. Still, we need to not only stop producing so many greenhouse gases, we need to reverse levels. Any form of greenhouse gas extraction needs to be done in excess of emission reductions, not as a means of offsetting them This sort of thinking may have seemed possoble 20 years ago when it was first pushed. Now we have 20 years of a complete lack of progress to prove how much of a lie it actually is. Industry needs to make real changes or emission taxes and fines will need to be levied to the point that industry that can't or won't change will be priced out of existance. If an industry cannot change its emission levels, we need to stop viewing them as necessary and find replacements. Cement for example, emits enormous amounts of greenhouse emissions. There is already a big push to change architecture back to wood frames. Wood frame construction prevents to need for cement and it also stores carbon in the wood. The airline industry consumes huge amounts of energy to move people and things quickly. One of the things we all will need to change is how much energy we focus on transportation. A lot of changes are going to be necessary to remove a huge protion of greenhouse gas emissions from transportation and it will likely mean slowing down. Getting out of flying in favor of shipping, etc. Public transportation instead of millions of cars stuck in traffic. Trains instead of highways.
what they don't tell is that Co2 is not our main problem its the other green house gass and heavy metals that are tge problem for example they don't tell you that Nitrogen oxides are 80× more potent green house gas than co2 and that the oceans that they are distroying are the biggest Co2 sink on this planet the also don't tell you that although trees take in Co2 during the day they actually release 50% of the Co2 absorbed during the day back into the atmosphere during the night
Whats cool about that shape (hyperboloid) is that its made entirely from straight lines. Imagine a bundle of dry spaghetti, bound with a rubber band 2/3 of the way up. Then twist it slightly so the tips spread out. That's the shape.
There is a mechanism designed to perfectly capture and convert co2. Every plant on earth does just that. As co2 increases, the number of these perfectly suited mechanisms increases also. So, we don’t need to attempt to achieve net zero, it’s already taken care of.
The only problem is,they say CO2(carbon dioxide) but they mean carbon monoxide, waste product of burning fuel,plants don't really absorb it, co2 however is to them like oxygen is to us, so the whole thing is wrong from the start.what you're saying is right but what the media is saying is wrong.
Another problem with plant capture is that they only capture while alive. After they die, they release most of the carbon back as either CO2 or Methane. Look at how much CO2 was released just this year in forrest fires. The only way plants could be a credible source of carbon extraction would be if the plants were reduced to carbon after dying and that carbon was stored somehere it wouldn't be released from any time in the forseeable future. This can be done by burning it in an oxygen free environment. This does require a lot of energh though. The heatif requires energy. Collecting and transporting the plant matter requires energy. Also, transporting and storing the carbon requires energy. There are always a lot of factors that go into any system that are easily overlooked. It isn't a simple solution, unfortunately
@@victorhauk5973 don't be dense. During human history we have never been close to a die off of plants due to a lack of CO2. In pre industrial levels there were about 280ppm and die off happens well below 200ppm. Now we're well over 400ppm. We would need to pull billions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere right now just to undue the amount we dump into it. We need to reduce the amount back down to under 300ppm. That wouldn't just happen accidentally. It would require a level of activity greater than the largest industries on the planet currently to do. So any discussion of plant die offs is nothing but resiculius ignorance.
@@haddow777 and tell me please what the highest levels of co2 have been? 200ppm is .02 percent. 2 hundredths of one percent. And the earth’s atmosphere was less than .008 % from plant die off. Kinda close there buddy. Please refrain from casting aspersions at me.
Netzero means paying new taxes over something invisible like CO2. It is a scheme, a fraud. Part of the scientific comunity does not agree with the theory that men is heating the planet. In the meantime, low weight plastic that ends its life in the ocean keeps being produced...

i doubt this would ever happen but the scariest thing ever would be if you were to climb on top of that cooling tower, you'd look down and stare at the ground,, just thinking "oh man i sure hope i don't fall-" And suddenly WHOOOOSH ur falling 140 meters down to the ground.
