Hey, nice video! Was wondering if you find the "To Dest. ETE" and "Fuel to dest" fields on the ETM don't calculate after update 1.2? In your vid it's at the 57 min mark.
Hi. I'll be honest - I haven't flown the H145 for quite some time so I can't comment on its performance to date. Now that you've reminded me I will check it out and give it a try. Thanks for commenting, (and reminding lol), and watching!
"CPL" is an acronym for "couple". This softkey allows you to 'couple' or join together the source to the Auto Pilot. As far as I remember this mode was not operative on the ATCP (Auto Pilot Control Panel) but I haven't flown the heli in a good while so it might be. It also couples the AFCS, (Auto Flight Control System} to the selectied NAV source. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Only just found this video but.... it is one of the best I have looked at. There are loads of FS2020 TBM 850 videos out there but they all seem to concentrate on how to start the plane and how to add flight plans. None of them seem to help with regard to what each of the many switches and dials does and how you use them when flying. Okay, you get a manual but all they tend to tell you is what a switch does not how you use it. If you want to know how the TBM 850 works then this video is the place to start. Good on you @NavSim101 thanks.
So much information, thank you, but please mind your script and think about how you talk. 1 cent for every "Okay so , alright " or other filling phrase---- this is something that happens regularly but will improve the quality of your video immediately if abandoned. thx
Hi. Thanks for your critique. Please remember though, that hardly any of us on RU-vid are professional broadcasters. And this is what makes YT so appealing is that we can tune in to people just like you and me who are not perfect in speach but down-to-earth individuals trying their best. Thanks for watching!
I'll try it with westinghouse brakes only too, thx for the Tutorial ... Do you know how to get the front door open in the cab ? I tried everything i could but the door stays closed 🧐
Using FSUIPC 7 now, it seems that the animated throttle inside MSFS does not move anymore (Some say its because of Update SU7). Moving the throttle does increase the throttle, but the throttle inside the SIM is non-moving. is there a fix coming soon?
Really interesting and handy...i have all my airports in a excell-file but this is actually better. I will have some work to do to get them all on the map but luckily you already did the MSFS-ones ! Thanks for the vid
Thanks for a great sys review. One problem that needs to be fixed in future update's that is even in daylight with inst panel lights on high it is difficult in see some sw positions on the over head and inst panel.
Hi. I haven't flown the H145 in a very good while. Regarding OEI state, the manual says on page 20: "The Training button (inoperative) simulates One-Engine-Inoperative (OEI) flight condition while retaining the safety margin of the working engine. (For simulation use you may safely take one engine to the IDLE position for a similar effect.}" Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching!
You don't need to DL any audio files as they are all pre-loaded with each airline. As mentioned in the video you can create your own. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video NavSim. Was mindful in your last video that you would maybe make known what tweaks etc you used to fly the Lama. I am curious to know what your MSFS assistance settings are and what settings you use for your controls. I also have the Thrustmaster controls but trying to use no MSFS assistance and Spadnext for the interface/axis but find the Spadnext axis setup not so flexible as MSFS. Any help appreciated, cheers.
Hi there! The Assistance Optoins don't affect the flight characteristics but the Sensitivities do. Here are my Sensitivity settings: Joystick L-Axis X (From top to bottom) Sensitivity plus and minus is 11%, 11%, Dead Zone, 2%, Neutral 0%, Extremity Dead Zone 44% and Reactivity 0%. Duplicate this for the other side Joystick L Axis Y but set the Dead Zone to 0%. You can always adjust this a little to suit your controller. Hope it works out for you! Thanks for watching!
@@NaviSim101 Thanks, to be clear do you not have the MS Heli Assists on at all? Also your settings for X and Y axis are for which Flight Controls? eg Collective, Anti-Torque etc, many thanks again. She is a difficult beast to tame!
@@MALCFWATT Ah, yeah, sorry. Forgot to menttion. The settings above I used for my Wharthog Hotas Joystick. Assisted Tail Rotor and Cyclic are turned off. Never tried it on tbh. . Throttle settings are pretty much Default with just little adjustments on the dead zone.
Hi. It's very easy. No need for a video tutorial. Just go to the camera menu, select the "Showcase" tab on the right. Down below, you can slow the Drone movements down. I use a xBox PC controller but you can use the keyboard as well. Hope this helps. Thlanks for watching!
Quick question: Do you have to reset these views for each different airplane? Also, your explanations are very good, but you may want to consider using the youtube editing tool to make your videos even more efficient. Thanks.
Hi. Yes. The easiest way is to copy the profile that you created for one particular aircraft, load it up into the next one of your choice and set all the new views then save that profile giving it the specific name of the aircraft its attached to (for easy reference). Then all you have to do is load up the profile and start using the custom views. On to your second point, unless you can be more specific, I don't really know which part in the video you are referring to. Remember that YT editor cuts out video as well as audio together, so using this facility might just take out important instruction which might just render the video pretty pointless. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi there. No, it doesn't unfortunatley. But it does 'score' your flights. I don't fully understand how it does that, hence why I didn't focus too much on it in the video. Thanks for watching!
Been looking for Helionix tutorials as I am really interested n learning them in detail. When I flew helicopters, it was all "steam" gauges and instruments. I missed the digital glass cockpit changes... do you know how close the functionality and feature set is in this sim? I am guessing it won't be 1:1 ?
Hi. The aircraft is not quite 'study level' in my opinion but its getting very close. Judging by real world videos that I watched prior to fliming, I can say HPG have done a great job in replicating the h145 in MSFS. It can only get better. Thanks for watching!
Hi. You didn't state which files are missing. Make sure your PC is up-to-date. Uninstall, re-install the software. Use the latest LukeAirTool available. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
The flight timer on the ETM is automagic. I also have no clue why you'd want to put a DME value "on hold", and I'm an instrument rated private pilot, but I placarded my DME as INOP for my checkride LOL... Was my CFII's suggestion.
@@NaviSim101 This b1rd has to rank among the best, if not the absolute best GA planes available for the sim today. Though a $4,000,000 plane that gobbles $340/hour in fuel (at $5/gal, which is a "good" price these days) is decisively on the high end of the GA scale. I do wish I could afford one IRL!
Hi. The FlyPad is a complete kit sent out by the FBW team. Any items found 'missing' could be due to an installation error on your part. I would uninstall the whole thing completely - not just overwrite. Go to the Community folder and delete the existing FBW A320 folder and re-install the software using the prescribed method. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi. Without having more details from you I can only suggest you doing the basics such as uninstalling/re-installing the a32nx. Go to your Community folder first and completley delete the FBW folder. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Hi, just come across this video by chance. I flew the actual H145 this is based on, and we used to go into Monaco! I picked it up new from the factory in Germany The IBF filters are on the top of the gearbox casing, you are pointing to the oil coolers.
hi I am new to MSFS and I love the simulator. so anytime I fly from one airport to another my flight already at the runway. I want to use the Luke air tool for mod before takeoff but I can not to manage to get in to plane without being in the runway already. how do I get in to cockpit of a plane before takeoff while the plane still connected to the jetway? do I need to land 1st then get to the jetway then use the Luke air tool for next flight or is there is a way I can get to the cockpit use the Luke air tool without being in the runway already? I am using commercial airline Boeing and airbus. any tips and suggestion will be much appreciated.
Hi. Welcome to the community! To answer your question:- When you are selecting which airport to fly from, MSFS will, by default, place you on the runway as you’ve discovered. To avoid this, you need to select a gate, or parking stand after you select your airport. Click on the arrow to the side of the rectangular box and you will then see a drop down list. Select a gate or stand that is more suitable for the size of aircraft you are using. You can start LukeAirTool after. Hope this helps.
Hi. On its initial release, this couldn’t be done with MSFS. It might be possible now, some 3 years later. Haven’t tried it myself. The TBM,s throttle movement is tricky to replicate. You need to mess about with the power bindings in the control menu. Trial and error. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. Thanks for watching.😀
Hey! Great video are the announcements automated or do we have to manually select them ex during taxing or landing? I saw a video where it was playing but I didn’t see him pull the program up or select anything
Hi there! Glad you enjoyed it! Some announcements are automatic (as far as I can remember) but mostly you will select the appropriate announcements for your stage of flight from departure gate to destination. The reason why you may not see it in some videos is that LukeAirTool is a stand-alone addon and can be operated outside of msfs2020 on another screen. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
