Am I the only one that thinks this? This song just fits the state of the world anymore, this behemoth of a boss that is so much harder than when we were children. As kids, our lives were basically "Boss Battle 1" and "Boss Battle 2". Nothing too scary, and we look back at it as not too negative of a time. Life was scary and dangerous for a bit, but we were good. Then you became an adult, and you really saw the world. You really saw what it had in store and what it was capable of. You saw the world for the true behemoth it is, and the dread of leaving behind childhood and growing up and life changing so drastically from what you remember so well suddenly hits you. You're an animal from captivity, thrown into a cacophonous jungle of raw horror when you grow up. Just like every boss you struggled with in this game where this song played, now you face that again but in reality. Every battle you face from now until death is just this terrifying behemoth, and sometimes you're just holding on by the fingertips to get through it all. This song continues to terrify me.
I remember hearing this in 2007, I loved it so much that I actually bought FFX and played it JUST TO HEAR IT. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Seymour wasn't the final boss at all, and that there was so much more to FFX than it's music
Imagine how painful it would be for someone to essentially outlive everyone single one your friends and you yourself cannot die as you must stay alive to essentially stop the apocalypse from happening. Just wandering the earth for years with everything changing but you remain the same. That’s rose.
This boss theme really hits you with the "Oh crap, i have to hurry" feeling during the final fight with Sin before he charges up his wipe game over attack
I’m so sorry if you didn’t get to play this in your childhood. You really missed out on an absolute masterpiece that was ignored because everybody was on the FF hype train
