For research purposes one can source the detailed catalogues published by manufacturers of cameras and accessories. The vintage photographs are superb!!

I can't answer that. Could have. Most cameras have a use by date or when things start to go wrong. I never had any problems with this camera. Thanks for stopping by. Geoff.
@@pembridgehouse Update: The Pentax forums say, The ones assembled in the Philippines, labeled "Pentax Corporation" and having a serial number starting 5 or 6 will have a Brass gear and will last much much longer than the plastic ones.
I just picked up the Nikon 1 J5 and When Zooming in the Aperture makes the screen darker. Depending what Camera Mode PASM its in by either using the two dials it will adjust brighter or darker. Cheers!
I've got a 700D it's a great camera for snapping the kids or sunsets even street photography etc without having a million setting like on some of my Nikon D610 & D700 cameras... Cheers
The camera uses standard 8mm film. Don’t get super 8 which will not fit in this camera. You will have to search online to get any. I am not sure if anyone still Makes it new. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for your comments. Yes a beautiful camera. I am fortunate I was able to get a few new tapes a couple of years ago. It’s like having an unexpired Kodachrome Film but I can still use them. Cheers. Geoff.
The only 35 format SLR that Pentax advertised as being pro was LX, even though it was not reliable enough and lacks AE-L and spot metering. MZ-S was advertised as semi-pro. The MZ-S plastic back door looks more fragile then SF1 and Z1 have, and the separate plastic battery grip for MZ-S - not compatible with other cameras from the MZ line, is made in China with even more fragile battery door, wey too tight space for the batteries, and has melting rubber pads on top in contact with the camera, that transform in to black goo. The rest are advertised only as advanced or entuziast models, including K2, DMD, KX motor, KX, MX, ME-Super, ME-F, SuperA, P5/50, SF1/X, SF1n/Xn, Z1, Z1p, Z5, MZ3, MZ6, and DSLRs also - about *istD Pentax even noted that is made for office use...Later ones are faster and some are much more weather resistant, but again not pro yet. SF10/7 has a big spot when using AE-L so weirdly is better then SF1/X/SF1n/Xn. Z20 altrough is much more reliable then Z1p, unfortunately lacks AE-L like Z10. The back button on Z20 is just for starting normal exp. comp. MZ-6 was more advanced, it has 1/4000s as MZ3 ( X sync and max true speed without the moving slit artifice is only up to 1/125s), it has HSS sync up to 1/4000s as MZ-S, but it has the worst Pentax viewfinder with only 0.70X @ 92% magnification like a eos 30, and that when even MZ-S 0.75X@ 92% is pretty crapy and with limited eye relief - with the Pentax viewfinder loupe and glasses is hard to see all the frame. K1 old and II has again stupid 0.70X @ 100% as F4. Maybe K1 III will have a decent viewfinder...
From this I am not sure you are a fan of pentax cameras. All cameras are not perfect but the brand has served me well over the years.Sounds like you have owned a few.cheers geoff
