Absolutely gorgeous! Exactly like my Dad's! I remember going to the VW dealership in Houston with my Dad. I was 6 in 1971. While I looked at the new Beetles on the showroom floor and was playing in the camper bus, my Dad bought a new Ghia. I still remember the smell, that wood dash and the wood shift knob. He tuned the AM radio to an Astros game; they were playing in the Astrodome, and we also listened to the news because Apollo 15 was on the Moon. When we turned into our neighborhood, we were on the big, wide (empty) street to the brand new elementary school where I would start 1st grade. He sat me on his lap and let me steer while we slowly drove down the street. That was the first car I ever drove (if you actually count that). Dad sure loved that little yellow Ghia. I have many memories going to football and basketball practice (YMCA youth leagues), Astros and Oiler games in the Astrodome. He kept that car until I was in 5th grade.
Subtle but nice. I would suggest removing that dash cover and the back tray cover to show their condition. Judging from the rest of the car though I am sure those cover are just for protection not hiding anything. No mention of build sheet, AC car but no compressor . 40k
Might be a little high on the asking price. Looks like some headliner issues, and what's with the black inner fenders... If I were considering this, a detail look would definitely be on the agenda. Ralleye instrument panel, a definite plus.
