Originally named 'Hill House' and constructed around 1740, the manor house sits on historically significant land. Renamed 'Kateshill' at some point during its lifetime, it boasts many of its original features and is now a Grade 2 listed building. wonders of this historic building for yourself.

I would go in May and middle of the week and avoid weekends. Get there very early so there is less queue and a better chance going down the winch. It's an amazing place.
I hope bill is still well! I recently read about a 91/92 year old, friend of wainwright who went up to haystacks with mountain rescue i think. Amazing story, this reminds me of that so heartwarming taking the time to do the rehab walk for someone. Bet it means the world to him. I take my mum on walks up the lakes whenever i can :) go on you.❤❤ Great video

Visitors to the top of Moel Famau will walk past the Jubilee Tower. Built in 1810 for the golden jubilee of King George III, the ruins can be seen for miles around. It was originally a three-level obelisk, but a row between the architect and building contractor meant it took ages to build. After being badly damaged in a storm, the base was eventually made safe as a viewing platform in 1970. It's now a listed building, offering incredible views across the North Wales and Cheshire countryside.
