Hello folks, my name is James Mathias, AKA “ Relic XPeditions”
A channel I’ve created in order to bring my viewers with me on my metal detecting adventures
My focus for this channel is -
1- Learn the art of detecting, 2- Meet like minded people 3- Recover and showcas lost treasures. 4- learning all about our History, 1 relic at a time. 5- share my adventures with all of You
If you’ve ever thought about detecting, or maybe you are already a seasoned detectorist, either way I hope you enjoy these videos.
Thanks again for organizing a great event and to the generous landowner that helped make it happen! 👍 Everyone had a wonderful time and new folks got to tap into the wealth of knowledge from club members. A few nice things got to see the light of day later in the afternoon! What a dandy of a button!
Great recovery on the wallet with crazy $ wad in it! 👍 You guys did crazy good afterwards with so many amazing finds! Wicked find for Ryan on the Victorian militia button and super nice Eddie LC you scored!👍
Great job returning the wallet, so who was the one that found it?...The thing you found asking for a comment is a saddle shield....most likely turn of the century.... overall nice finds
It was a group effort my man, we all helped in finding the wallet. I lucked out and picked it up off the field. Thank you for identifying the saddle shield. Cheers Dave
Fabulous day with James and Zack, good guys with lots of knowledge...it was a really nice day and I learned a lot. Thanks again guys, can't wait to do it again!
Nice collab hunt on a beautiful property! At 4:53 is an umbrella or parasol slide. A couple of decent finds there with the old wheat and big 5 nickel. Looks like the best potential area is under the crop so hopefully you guys can get back out after harvest.
@@PinkPowerAllyTreasureHunter thanks, I love trying to suprise them when I get the chance, but he was watching like a hawk and I thought he saw it for sure even tho he said he didn’t lol
Thanks Darcy. This was shown a few months ago already but I did not get any views, so I pulled this down after 30 views and I’ve now changed a few settings in my channel to try and gain better viewership, so I thought I’d repost this as a test run lol I don’t think it’s done the trick ha ha ha. Anyway thanks for watching buddy
I really love your code of ethics man. Even in water you are filling in your holes. You are 100% correct on doing that. I've hammered a few holes in the water trying to retrieve an target. 20 scoops later I am still going. When the dust settled and I got target, I had left a gaping hole on the bottom. If someone walk in my path after they would disappear in it.
Thanks Dan. It’s a hard go sometimes trying to fill in these holes but after I’ve had children. All I can think about is twisted ankles lol so I always put in the effort even if sometimes it seems like a waste of time.
Water is quite warm on the river, gold has dried up the last couple weeks but silver is still showing up every hunt.....looks like you were at Sharbot Lake?
I found the water to be ok. It’s definitely getting chillier but still manageable. I think the earring is most likely old silver but I need a silver testing kit. I think next will be a surface breather for arsenal so we can stay down for a while lol. Thanks for watching Darcy see you soon buddy
That would definitely up your game! The naval button looks to be British Royal Navy and could be pretty old. Not sure if gilt but brass usually comes out of the water looking very yellow like that.
A cool 🥶 hunt indeed! Hopefully the air temp was warm enough to make it tolerable. Very cool earring! Most likely silver with that toning and looks to have been there a long time. A nice bracelet but dang on the stainless! May have to give it a try while the weather is warm but will likely stick to waist deep at most though once I water hunted it in December but in thermal waders.
Awesome man! Sweet score on the shiny religious pendant! 👍Have dug a few but none of the silver side of things yet. Many villages in the area had a ball team going back to the 1800’s and would be super cool if that was the same place they played back then.
@@kepvalley well the park was there in the late 1800’s / early 1900’s, I have found items like musket balls, & an old skeleton key, that should date the park back, however the majority of my finds there are from the 1970’s to 1990’s I believe the park has had some recent changes within the past 30 years which makes it difficult to get to a level with our detectors where you would find the really good stuff. Regardless I get a chance every now and again to go there for quick hunts and I’m always shocked because I usually come home with something of interest lol. Thanks for watching Darcy
@@coffeetogojmj it was a tougher day than I was expecting for finds to be honest but was very happy to get the coin in the end lol. Even that earring was a welcome find even if it is junk lol. Thanks for watching J,
@@RelicXPeditions I also enjoyed your different camera angles. Gives some nice visual variety. I haven’t been able to get out detecting lately but hope to soon! Have fun!
@@kepvalley thanks Darcy. Give me a shout if you’re up for a water hunt one of these days? I think I’m going to do a few in the near future, at least during the hot days anyway lol.
Sweet spot and some cool finds! Neat train and sweet old buckle! Quarter sure does look on the silver side of things with that toning. Haven’t yet got out in the water but late summer is usually my go to time.
Cool place to dig and you bet there’s a lot of potential still out there on a property that large! That was a cool hexagonal little med bottle! Those were usually for pills. Some nice horse tack relic finds! The bugs have been something awful with all the heat, humidity and rain.
Great effort put in to try and make a recovery and the hike in is half the battle! 👍 Some nice bycatch finds and quite the pocket clad spill! Very nice Ukraine pendant and chain!
@@TheDiggingDudesOfficial I think it’s one of the best beaches in our region personally, however it’s also almost a 2K hike to get onto it and it was 40 degrees yesterday lol. Still had a great day out there tho. Thanks for watching dude
Was great to get you out to the lake, man! Was an adventure I won't soon forget! Ha ha ... 😅 Congrats on video #100 - your next 100 are going to be even more amazing! 😁
