Usually previous majors right at the moment it becomes available souvenirs for redemption, and it goes on the market. The price is usually higher and you can make profit. But it drops pretty fast so becareful. I always get the 3 coins anyways because if I make that mark I make some profit if not I hold onto it and sell it for more later when the major ends.
Doesn't sound like you like the game if you need to be drip fed 'content' to enjoy it. I'm having a blast, but I really enjoy the gameplay personally and don't need skins or events to enjoy a game I love.
Of course I love it, I have 2k hours on it. I just can't play it as frequently anymore because it starts to get repetitive. If they added a operation then I wouldn't mind the repetitions as much because I can work for some skins or something.

subtick is still new and Valve is trying to work on it, not to mention with the Steam Deck, I am sure they want CS2 to as optimized as possible with proton and what not so they are focusing on many other aspects. I think you should just be patient. @@zm5973
