Corrupt Lisa Nandy & her corrupt chronies have killed this town. Labour council after labour council have sucked the life out of it & Imported a load of third world pond life,
It does not matter how many times I watch the Coast to Coast Walk it still reminds me on both of my crossing first the West to East and again later a East to West Now I am retired I am planning a third Crossing in the Summer Months of 2024. Tony in Essex. A retired Hiker
I remember standing at my front gate at 200 Ormskirk road, Newtown when I was little really excited when I heard the brass band start. This brings back lovely memories for me 😊 xx
OMG! I remember when Nick composed this ( I was married to him at the time.) And also remember how in awe of the orchestra he was when he conducted the RPO ( who he said were very kind to him!) I always loved this. Many thanks.
Wow!! Many thanks Clare for your amazing comment! I can't imagine on what hearing your own composition played by an orchestra for the first time would feel like, let alone conducting the orchestra too! Thanks for sharing your memory 😊
normally HATE steel guitar (subjected to too many hours of my mother's DULL Irish country music as a kid!), but this is just incredible. It really picks up every last bit of the emotion of the original. ❤
Loved this piece of music when I first heard it on the 1970/80s Shell advert, I even purchased a TV advert album with it on. Glad I've finally found it again 😊
All closed down now, Wigan Pier Quarter didn't open for long (labour Council pocketed ALL THE MONEY) as they always do oh and lets not forget all the old Buildings they have knocked down most listed but they don't mind
I stumbled onto this video 7 years ago and fell in love. I love this piece so much that I think I will have it played as my going away song at my funeral. I have to say again this is the most beautiful song I've ever heard.
