Yes, she is singing the song that is not the problem. The problem is she kept vocals from a sample or reference track, which is Shanti’s voice and she did not get paid for it. It’s a scam.

It is very obvious that J.lo still sang the lead but the layers and harmonies which Mariah is something she can do on her own (as being a former back up singer) is done by other artists. Probably Jlo doesnt have an absolute pitch or it probably doesnt sound distinct that's why they kept backgrounds from demos. But she clearly snatched a lot of songs which something beyonce is also doing and yet no one dares to criticize her on that. The truth is evryone in the industry had experienced of plagiarism, Mariah with "can't let go" which is very guilty of and was settled in court.

Her sweet tone/voice is so great for R&B duets especially with males (LL Cool J, Neyo, Stevie Mackey). I wish she tapped into that All I Have sound for an album . I would love her Aint no Mountain duet on an album by her. That sound and funk (Get Right, Hold it Don’t Drop it) are her best and Latin dance (On the Floor, Waiting for Tonight) and salsa (Let’s Get Loud) .
I've finished both parts and I just wanted to thank you for giving us such a thorough and fair video regarding these situations and accusations against J.Lo. I used to be a really big fan of Ja Rule & Ashanti, ever since Ja Rule's hit single Put it On Me remix feat Lil Mo & Vita in 2001. I bought J. Lo albums because of Ja. I have always loved Ashanti since Foolish. There were so many rumors and accusations throwing around about J.Lo stealing Ashanti's vocals back in early 2000s. And then there was a huge force trying to end Ja Rule's career. I still love 50 but couldn't pretend I didn't see his agenda. J.Lo is and has been an extremely hardworking individual in all of her entertainment endeavor. No one can take that away from her. She tries endlessly to improve her singing skills. She's no Beyonce, but she tries to make it work with what she has. The stealing of songs, ideas, vocals was a devious plot to drag Mariah down. A plan concocted by these bitter men who abused their power. J.Lo was just a tool for their grand scheme of taking Mariah Carey down, out of spite. J.Lo didn't have much control over conniving hands and therefore she is very controlling on things she can actually control. Her being terrible to servers, drivers or anyone with less power than her is a product of the trauma orchestrated by these high-powered, manipulative executives. Baby i got my boyfriend. Is that your girlfriend... Thats Ashanti's voice singing under JLo's voice. I don't think ppl are necessarily mad at JLo for using Ashanti's voice, but we hear the vocal differences and technicalities provided by Ashanti, especially when she sing these songs live. The person who did this video did a good job of isolating their vocals, but volume plays a major impact on the studio version, because you can totally hear where Ashanti's vocal overpower and dominate that of Jennifer's studio vocal, proving that volume makes a difference.
