I am grateful you explain the differences between the novel and the drama. It is no wonder we viewers may feel confused at how intensely Jiaxue loves Yining (Meimei) while we only see brief scenes of them together while he is blind. It doesn't make sense in the drama but when you reveal the novel contents it makes complete sense. I feel such sympathy for Jiaxue having searched for so long for his lost love only to have her reject him. He is never allowed to explain anything to her about the past and she is now deeply involved with Shenyuan. I feel confused by the fact that the novel has them being married but she ends up marrying Shenyuan. My modern way of thinking makes me feel a person cannot marry another if they are already married and no divorce occurred. The novel must have made it somehow okay. In any case, your information about the novel has made sense of so much that was confusing in this drama. Thank you so very much.

Maybe in the film they made it come out as if LJR killed her. I just don't like the way they portrayed Yining in the film because she didn't give LJR to explain himself.
Frustrating. As Episode 12 aired today with no clue when episode 13 will air on RU-vid. Plus they are labeling another drama with this title which is frustrating. I am mesmerized by this drama. Not one personality is portrayed as dumb. Something different.

I read the novel it was fantastic. Sad cause they changed the plot slightly. I read the past between LJX and LYN they deserved a happy ending but LYN and LSY story also did justice. Three of them suffered a lot. Time misguided them . At last reading about their last ending, still can't forget the trauma but it's so beautifully written
Want to know about the ending too. I just don't like tragic endings. Although, sometimes the films don't exactly follow the novel's ending, as long as LYN and LSY doesn't die. It is sad that LJX is misunderstood as I feel sorry for his tragic past. I like his character although I don't particularly find the actor portraying him that handsome. But I think LJX will probably die.

Yes, if watch the the presentation on the beging, shows the family and Yining and Shenyuan in picture with the family anda a baby, and have a lot of btc on you tube that show thet marry and have a baby, the book also presents theys as a couple with happy end
love in the desert should be called no love in the desert ML who i absolutely love and FL who is not a very good actress had no chemistry what’s so ever with ML .. the SML and SFL had the best chemistry… i’m afraid this is not my favorite drama .. FLs wasn’t very good with facial expression in her acting where as SFL was full on with it with SML .. the director did a disservice to the ML in this drama ..
I thought i was the only one. She's not very good and no facial expression changes at all her protestant is very wooden but she's beautiful! And Alen Feng character is super wishywashy. He's a love sick stalker jeopardizing both his plans and her safety. But I'm watching it🤷
A pity they look good together and ive watched the previous drama of the FL which was also desert theme and she was ok there so when i saw their poster w/ Alen Fang i got excited that she is his next leading lady. However i got disappointed with her character here, very ambitious and cold blooded. Even though i so wanted to watch this drama for the ML, i decided to drop it vec i cant take the flow of the story anymore
big fan of Alen Fang but the romance so far with him and the FL has been terrible .. FL is not the best of actresses SML and SFL were the better couple … they were vibrant and kept the drama alive for most parts .. another drama that hasn’t impressed me so far tho ..the music wasn’t great either thought i was watching an arabian nights drama when it started
