Hey coach! Amazing presentation on your philosophy based template But my question is, do your preach your no middle defense in a way Texas tech did under Chris beard where you have baseline help no matter what? Or did it depend on the defenders effort guarding the ball?
“One V one back to back” blonde eyed girl needs to use her left… And the same with the SSG in the corner, going baseline come in with that left even if you’re on the right side as you do not have a clear path to use your right hand‼️💯🎯👉🏻 if an NBA trainer or scout is directing this, that’s what they’re going to have you do… Take the right baseline and come in with your left hand. Much better probability of hitting the shot.… 🤷🏻♂️💥👉🏻👉🏻Unless you’re going to double clutch and push your body outward towards the paint/box, to go in with your right hand and draw the foul using your glutes and majority of your back. You’re going to draw the fall and then release the shot. The back of your body is what causes the fall, so make the contact clutch and then release.
You wanna make sure this is exactly the height of the rim… And that would be the top part of the blue tape. The shooter then wants to have the bottom third of their ball right above the top of the blue line… If they’re not hitting the same spot every time, they’re not doing it right. The distance doesn’t really matter from where they’re shooting from, as long as they understand what the goal is. Eyes over the front of the rim… Balance, elbow in and follow through.
Drop zone is part of DDM - most coaches have some version of it - and there are differing opinions on footwork in the drop zone Coach - I sent you about 10 videos and documents in response to your email but it kept bouncing back. Did you ever get it ?
We do this drill just a little faster though. This is our first year of practicing free throws this way. Very eager to see what our free throw percentage will be at the end of the year
