I think Knicks are going to work with the big they drafted behind the scenes. He's German been playing pro basketball overseas for a bit. He was playing in Australia and he's surprisingly agile and skilled. At the very minimum I think Sims' days are numbered.
Paul George is 34. 14 years in the league and injury history. Sixers have a very short window with him. He's also been underwhelming in the playoffs. Check the resume.
East: BOS: brown, Tatum, jrue, Derrick, Phi: embiid, maxxey, got PG, retained oubre, still have Harris MIL: healthy dame and Giannis and Middleton CLE: Clayton resigned, Donovan back healthy.. EVERYONE SLEEPING ON ORLANDO... Isiaiah was 6 more fouls AND contributed on offense. His IQ and spacing was better than Mitchell. A closing lineup of Jalen bridges, og Randle and isaiah would have been nice..
Mitch can guard porzingis. He's become extremely underrated and is a great perimeter defender ever since he's been a knick. If robinson could be a 70% ft shooter he would be so good but no.
PG is 35 by next playoffs, he's going to seriously decline this year. Embiid never shows up when it counts, Maxey is the only one I'd be worried about.
Even Steve Cohen is hurting due to the Melvin Capital fallout. Steve Ballmer just let his second best player go right before they move into a new stadium. The days of individual team owners is on its deathbed
Remember: The Sixers went hard after OG.. Paul George is their consolation prize. People need to stop acting like Philly just leap froged over the Knicks - Also having Hartenstien didn't do much stopping Embid when it mattered. $30 Mil a year for Avg 9 PPG ? =p
Stroman was acting like a brat. It's not a big deal that he yelled at a teammate but it's also not firing anybody up. The biggest issue in the US is that we can't just say I was wrong. Why even try to clean it up with the firing people up nonsense. He apologized to gleyeber because he knew he was wrong snd that play wouldn't been turned by anybody. You want him to theow it harder and comit an error? I know he hasnt been great all year but It ain't Gleybers fault he's a naturally aggressive hitter and the yankees want him to take as many pitches as possible. That whole grind out at bats ain't for everybody. Judge even said it, Gleyber needs to be aggressive to flourish. Now all of the sudden he's been more aggressive and he's raking.
This is why Michael is a YankeeMan. They were injury prone last year and many players like Nestor, Rodon, Rizzo , DJ, have been injured the last few years. Dominguez is coming of TJ so his body not ready, Schmitt is injured, Gill miss last year with TJ, our catcher had surgery last year. They went with many players who havent been healthy or even played the last few years. Even Stroman was injured last year. We are relying on many ??? and Cash Michael Hal are gonna use the injury excuse if they dont win.
That rotation is gonna fall apart and when the starters dont go 5 innings in the postseason the bullpen will get hit. Funny he says Garret is gonna get his innings limit and go to the bullpen yet doesn't bring up his innings limit.
Sorry bruh, but Judge was not letting him have it at all. Stroman already said that Judge was actually apologizing for his own weak play towards a ball that he handled in the outfield. 🤷🏼♀️
Yankees get: Bellinger Cubs get: Pereira Pitching prospect (or two depending on how good they are) Rizzo (to offset a part of Bellinger salary this year and give him the opportunity to close out his career back with the Cubs fans) And Yankees get: Rengifo Angels get: 2 mid tier prospects Rice stays up and gets ABs at First, Catcher and DH so he gets consistent playing time. Bellinger and Rengifo bat 4-5 in the lineup and provide good protection behind Judge. When Stanton returns, we probably have to send Rice down to keep him from having to sit. I like Rice, but if it is a choice between him or Bellinger, him or Stanton... I send Rice down because he's the third best hitter in that group of 3.
I'm quite okay with it. Everyone gets paid, and paid well. Everyone needs to bring their best efforts each and every day. Gleybor is lazy and makes a lot of mistakes. Challenge each other to get better.
I love the passion from stroman. It clearly has helped gleyber play better. Robot athletes with no emotion tend not to do much winning no matter how good there personal stats are. J/S.
It's not even the fans, it's the organization. Guys like Joe Torre were player managers, but he still always held his players accountable. And his players respected that. Now players on the team are too comfortable cause they know their spots are secured. If you want to look at a prime example, just look at the whole situation with Gary.
Normally I would agree. And even that play wasn't so bad. But all year Gleyber has been BSing on offense and defense. If he wasn't then Stroman probably doesn't do that because he would've known that Gleyber tried his hardest to make the play.
These guys shut down the guy who said he was willing to tank for a few years if it meant building a solid core. Shame on them. I’m willing to do it if it means not leaving early in october
No Torres definitely deserved it he’s on the Yankees not the reds or the Rockies or the marlins he’s on the best team you can’t play like that he’s getting traded
I’m sorry but the team needed some fuckin energy and intensity for years and years, just so happened to come at the expense of Torres, could have been anybody honestly... but look what happened after.
