At the beggining didn't work with my A7s mk2 every control was there but "no signal" sign too, so, what i did was to move the camera dial to photo mode and i got the signal, then go back to movie mode and signal was there so it is working now. I'm talking about an iphone 13 pro max and a aliexpress cable.
Hello, I have Sony 6300 and I connected the camera with the same adapter with my iPad, but I can get video signal. I can change ISO, etc, but no image. Can you help me please?
Hello i have a sony A7iii and a iphone XR and the cable. I folow all your instrucions and i dont have image in the Iphone. Any sugestion? Best regards from Portugal
Great video! To confirm for your viewers, the A7 although it has PC remote doesn’t work with the monitor+ app. However, I can confirm that the A7RII and A7SII works with the app! I used an iPhone as the monitor. Hopefully, this helps whoever needs this information.
@@RmsPaintStudio I have an iPhone and I used the original cable from the Sony camera and the usb-a adapter for the iPhone. I installed and ran the monitor + app and then connected the adapter cable to the phone and it recognized the camera model. Please, if you have more specific questions, let me know! I hope this helps.👍🏾
Hi, it starts lagging a lot when I actually start recording, almost unusable. It's responsive while not recording. Does it happen to you too? I have an A6400. Thanks for the video anyway.
If I don’t have the original Sony cable what can I do? I have followed every step, and got an adaptor from mini HDMI to lightning cable (not the Apple one) and it wouldn’t work. I have the A6400
oke, does it support focus peaking ? i have few manual lens, and i feel focus peaking is important for this lens. Edit : yes just need 5 minutes to test and edit this comment, disable control via Smartphone, and voila, it works with A6400 manual lens. Focus peaking only for premium ( purchase ).
I have the a6600 the original USB cable, the Samsung OTG adapter (as shown in your video), and an Infinix android smartphone. I did everything and was able to see my a6600 in the monitor+ app. BUT each time I tried to start the connection, it fails telling me my PC connect was not set to ON or my device is not compatible. I'm so frustrated. Tried different cables, different OTG adapters, same problem. is it the Infinix smartphone causing it?
@@BreezeA yes connect everything make sure to follow his settings, keep the camera off and turn it on in video and then change the mode and then back, I’ve noticed a direct usb c to multi doesn’t work you need a micro usb to usb A converted to usb C for the phone
Now which one is the 6699? Im guessing you missed the 0's and meant 6600. After many months of this video upload the most common cause, after reviewing all settings in camera and phone, it's the cable. Sony cable included with the camera is kinda special. It's not only micro USB form it's also Multi protocol. Not all micro USB cables have this. I've tried with different cables and it does make a difference hope this is your case and you find this response helpful
Works with my a7sii, this is help me a lot when filming myself by mounting my phone to the hot shoe of the camera, now i can see myself and adjust the setting directly in the monitor😂
@@alebelmonte9312 depends on camera model and type of connection some models allows that level of control on both wirelessly and wired connection some like the a6600 only wired
@@alebelmonte9312 go to the monitor plus web page. And find the camera capability and compatibility list. But let me inform you that sadly the a6400 does not support wireless connection.
Sadly the a7s1 have a limited USB connectivity and it's not supported. You can still connect external monitors... I know it's an additional expense but since this app does not support you model it's the best option. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great video🙂👍 The app on the A6600 is functional, but only for simple focusing. Focus tracking does not work. Is there anything else that needs to be set up? I have the paid version. Thanks for the RE 🙂
Just as the continuous eye tracking gets disabled when connecting the HDMI it's the same when streaming over the USB protocol, I believe Sony does this on purpose :( no way around it Thanks for watching!
Sorry for the delay in my response, could you make it work? Check the cable, are u using the one included in the box of your camera? Also the second and most common thing fails is the otg USB adapter to connect the USB A to the phone connector. Hope this helps, thanks for watching
@@flightographist i got it working now. If you used to mirror your cam to your phone tru wifi, you have to turn off the wireless/wifi to connect your phone, turning it off gives you the PCremote(i think that’s what its called) option available, and from there you can connect now connect your phone to the cam. Hope this helps
Thx friend but I tried that too, the app and camera just won't communicate. Also, the app has no off button which forces me to crash the phone for a restart.@@diostaylow
The a6600 does not have a USB c port, it's only micro. It might work using a USB c to micro USB adapter, but still... I only recommend using the USB A to Micro USB Multi cable included in the box. Other cables might not support the connection.
It worked with my Sony a7IV and iPhone 14 Pro. I used the adapter (SUNTRSI USB Camera Adapter, USB Female OTG Adapter for iPhone) from Amazon, and the cable that came with my camera (USB C to USB A).
Me da gusto que sea de utilidad, lo acabo de ver nuevamente y me revuelvo mucho con las velocidades, los bits y bytes 😂😅 me disculpo por las posibles confusiones. Gracias por dejar un mensaje.
HELP. I did everything the same as you. But when connecting, the phone screen only shows "no signal" and the remaining parameters such as ISO, shutter speed,... can still be controlled, but only the screen is no signal. Thank you <3
Thanks for this, my iPhone 12 Pro says "cannot use this accessory - ILCE-6600 requires too much power" when I plug it in with the USB to lightning cable...dang...any experience with that?
In case anyone else experiences this...I figured it out. I had to turn off "USB power supply" in Setup window 4 on my A6600. Thanks again for this video :)
I have a very similar set up with Sony A6600 using a micro USB to USB A cable (original Sony cable) into an OTG adaptor into USB-c on my phone (Samsung A14 5g). Despite using all the recommended USB settings on the camera, the app seems to recognise the camera but will not connect, coming up with the same error message of "not being able to connect either because PC Remote is not turned on or the device is not supported". I have tried starting with the camera in photo mode (rather than video), doing a camera hard re-set, re-intalling the app, etc, but nothing seems to work. Any further suggestions?
I would try using a different otg usb c to usb a. If that adapter is not giving the correct bandwidth or data transfer protocol that might be the issue. You see the camera connected in the app but when it tries to send image data it just bugs out and show you that error msg
@@erick.gazbel Many thanks for your comments. I guess the other possibility would be to use a micro-USB to USB-c cable, and eliminate the OTG adaptor? I see that there are some Amazon links for recommended cables on the Monitor-plus website. Is that likely to be a better option?
@@chauvetresonance1262 Im very positive someone already mentioned your suggestion of eliminating de otg and using a usb c to micro usb for a direct connection. You can always return the cable if it does not work 😉
How can I exit this application? I installed it, everything works, but I can't go to the main screen of the phone. there are no return or exit keys to the home screen. I have to restart my phone. Android version, but it doesn't matter.
I suspect is a bug for any current version android app is now running, when I tested it in my outdated note 8 I had no issue returning to the phone Home Screen. I would try deleting the app and installing it back… this sounds very odd, exiting the app its a very basic functionality. 😥
Could be phone limitations… like gpu or ram. Which camera and phone are you pairing? Also the cable is an option if it's not high quality and bandwidth saturates some how.
@@TorralbaProduccionesTP yes to record the live view I’m positive you need the paid version. But remember it’s a live view, and it’s not 1080 or any other hq format, if you are looking to externally record the investment is higher.
