Mahalia, could sing the Telephone Directory and it would sound superb.
Love this song it took me back to my childhood I didn't even know that it was a gospel on the back of Lean On Me Since my 2 sisters passed I just kept singing the song and I found the artist that sang it Amen
Do we realize this was a song during slavery day's when all we could do was ask GOD TO MAKE IT BETTER. MY dad would sing this song. This song song is how we got over everything.

My late grandmother owned several of her albums from the early 60s on the Columbia label. She loved Mahalia Jackson, Brooke Benton, & The Ray Coniff Singers. Now we own those albums & I've been a fan ever since. I miss my beloved grandmother Mary who died of complications from emphysema & Sickle Cell anemia at the age of 66, in 1991. 👍🏾💯🛐🙏🏾🤗🕊️🤲🏾♥️
