It may not be the newest or most preferred jet any more, but it's still a legend and holds it's worthy place amongst one of the best planes of in its class and its time! Appropriate nice song for also that time period. Great job Theodoros K.

The phantom was a great fighter, unfortunately during the 60s the BVR ONLY Doctrine by the Top Brass of that day, didn’t train pilots to Dogfight. However Great men like Frank Ault and Dan Pedersen taught Naval pilots to Dogfight again at a school called Fighter weapons school they started during Vietnam. These pilots achieved a 24:1 kill ratio during Vietnam. However the Air Force decided to blame the plane rather than the method and maintained a 2:1 kill ratio throughout Vietnam. Not until after Vietnam did the Airforce change its Doctrine to what it is today and start Red Flag exercise!
Awesome aircraft, as a youngster in the 70's I was able to see both the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels when they were flying their F-4s, that plane was an absolute Beast !!!!
Isn't this airplane a beauty? I am big fan of Phantom. Being a Turk, I love the schemes of both Turkish and Greek Air Force F-4s. I hope they fly phorever ;)
