Great tutorial and use of graphics! I’ve only played Sushi Go on Board Game Arena, virtually. So, now it’s time to try the actual game of Sushi Go Party since it just arrived today. Your tutorial will be most helpful. Glad there’s a way to do an easy start/first play. I find a large group of people tend to have a very short attention span when the game is explained to them.
Dessert Punk is definitely getting flipped or removed from your tableau- though I can't help but prefer to pla Doc Tan over this card if possible, as they have very similar deckbuilding constraints but Doc Tan is much easier to score from (but must be removed from your tableau instead of flipped).
I suppose that you could have more compatibility with a star counter strategy. Though, you would still want some high printed stars, just a bit less so. As always, Thanks for the video :D
haha, the store deck is huge and I wanted a solution since the deck tower keeps tumbling down, especially with new sleeved cards. But I wanted a "Zatura" style dispenser some day.
@@thecardboardstacker my understanding here isnt that welsie flips and then scores because of the flip. Its that if Welsie gets flipped, she flips the adjacent caards, however if she is not flipped, she will score 20 at the end of the tournament - as she copies this to adjacent cards this means that you need to stop your opponents flipping any of those 3 cards to get 60, but obviously if one flips, they're all flipping and your tournament is over. The flip and score are two different abilities not tied together.
Big C really shines in the later tournaments when you've had a chance to get your economy going and gain prize promos. You will easily score +30 from Big C.

The duckys are a good budget build if you are looking to focus your DB phase into economy because you only need a few of em and some good mages to work well. You probably won't get first but if you're maxing collections and npcs every round you dont really need to.
Also the castle of helbane's ongoing won't work in the Score phase so watch out for that as a combo (though if your playgroup is ok id reccomend ruling that it does, its a much more interesting card that way).
