I watched all the shows from when I was born and I was one when this show was on so I can't remember any of it!My dream is to be an RAF pilot but I doubt it will happen as it takes years of studying and even more to fly in a red arrow
I also wanted to be an RAF pilot, but it never happened. I did however get my PPL and later MPL. Your bargain shouldn’t be RAF or nothing. Even as a private pilot, there’s such a feeling of achievement and thrills to be had! That first solo and cross country! My best flights have been etched in my mind indelibly and so I’d just like to encourage you to go for it!
Found this video to show my son a plane I got to fly in the Air Cadets back in the early 80s at about 14 as an "air experience flight". Great memories of a few stunts over the River Severn. I was given a parachute but only to sit on to get a better view! Favourite part? Getting to say "I have control"!
Watched from the roof of Talbot Heath School, a Lincoln boy I got to watch them practice every year. Absolutely devastated by jons crash, I queued at the flower memorial and to write in the book of condolence
