I know this is an older video, but what does the 9mm seat on? Is it like a 45 since it’s a tapered case? And if they’re over crimped you’re saying they won’t chamber?
I like your explanation of reloading brass for a specific gun [chamber] and not setback the case shoulder. What would be an exceptable tolerance now for the COL? 0.005? i.e > 1.685 down to 1.680? 🤔 Thank you for a video with the cutaway ... very informative and easy to understand.
Warning: Do not send your 10/22 trigger assembly into this company. It's run by one person and he cannot handle the orders. It's been TWO MONTHS since I sent in my trigger assembly and I'm STILL WAITING for it. There is no contact to tell me where my order is. Emails go unanswered. Making customers wait more than two months for service is no way to run a business. I will NEVER do business with BrimstoneGunsmithing again.
UPDATE: it’s now June 2024. 3 months have passed and still no 10/22 trigger assembly from this company and no responses to my emails. I’ve initiated a charge back on my payment to get my 45.00 back. I’ll never see my trigger assembly again from this company.
I sent my 10/22 OEM trigger into Brimstone over a month ago and have not heard one word on it's work status!! My emails have gone unanswered and I'm wondering what's happening. Will I get my trigger assembly back? Are they doing the work at all? Your website was just updated 4/4/24 and says it will take 3 months to get my trigger assembly back. If I had known that I would have NEVER sent in my order! What a way to run a business. Would you, the owner, want to wait 3 months to have someone do work for you?
After a trigger spring kit, the trigger was still rough. So after using the info here and one other video my trigger breaks and resets so much more cleanly. Thanks.
Wow I just found your video, the way you explained it set foo so many bells in my head. Thank You No I have to go re-setup my dies. I must also learn to type. ;-)
Best explanation I've ever heard. I've spent the last week trying to wrap my head around headspace, shoulder bump, full-length vs neck sizing, etc. you just pulled it all together in 10 minutes. Thank you!
Without a no-go guage are there signs a head space is to big? Let's say a 350 legend straight wall cartridge (tapered). I'm seeing carbon on the brass and in the bolt face after less than 20 rounds.
doesnt matter cause all barrels pass inspection. very rarely do they not... certain companies like tight tolerances and sell their barrels for half 1/4 the cost. The accuracy is the same but as long as it passes a no go test it good for me
As some9ne who bought a very cheap sr, and am new at reloading, although i like to measure a million times and do things right, the amount of variation that can make stuff right ir wrong is mind boggling
I plinked for a bit. Got a few birds too, just sighting it in. The can was me sighting it in, the glass was one shot and knocked the bottom pretty much clean off. I love this rifle. The Crosman ammo is good. The Gamo is a little heavier and will take out any varmint. It's loud, and I wouldn't recommend for under 15yo.
I’m glad you guys made this video. It answered all my questions and helped me decide between a Tier 3 or Tier 2 job. For me, it looks like the Tier 2 job is what I need because my Ruger is 45 years old and has the aluminum housing. Oh and that stock trigger pull is brutal. (somewhere between 7 1/2-8lbs)
I watched several times, great video. Saying 22lr, i got a Liljia match chamber failed to catch the rim to eject the shell 1/5 times at worst situations. Should i increase head space or reduce? Factory advise me to reduce to get a tighter chamber, from your video, seems like increase is a better idea to allow brass to expand and get caught by bolt catcher. Which way is right?
why do you have to take apart yout bolt extractor, when using a GO or NO GO? I install a GO or NO GO put the bolt in now I cant see anything. I understand what happens to brass once fired in the chamber or out.
