Maybe overkill…but I change mine once a year, regardless of mileage…relatively inexpensive insurance to keep it breathing cleanly…anyone can do this for themselves.
I am not surprised as I was going to purchase a 2020 Acura RDX new, the day after my visit to the dealership this made the news. Acura didn’t want to admit there was a problem,the car was extremely popular at that moment. I am glad I didn’t buy it!
Dont know if this will help anyone, but here goes. I could not connect to my samsung g22 thru android auto. I switched cables, factory reset, power on off, tried a iphone, diff cables. nothing worked. I then plugged a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle into the USB. I let it connect to my phone then plugged my phone into the other usb. Android auto worked. I unplugged the Dongle and put the usb cord in to the port where the dongle was and android auto still worked. Still preliminary, but it actually works now.
Hey Honda Jon. How can I fix the radar onstructed on 21 accord? I tried cleaning sensor box and the warning sign is still on dashboard. Any other recommendations?
I would unplug the battery for 30 minutes and see if the warning light comes back on. If it does there is an issue with the sensor. You can unplug the radar and plug back in and see if that helps.
@mariasmith9788 that’s a hard one. Because if it’s because an impact they won’t so make sure there are no marks from an impact. If it’s good, they should definitely replace it free of charge.
I have a 2022 tlx. Anyone experienced a loud beep when connected to CarPlay? It happens randomly. More like a glitch except it doesn’t affect the screen only sound
Hi , how can I deactivate this parking , couse in my Acura Mdx 2022 when I’m turning off the vehicle it sets to parking automatically, but after I want to start and putting on the drive mode it is not turn offs automatically, I have to turn off this parking manually
I’ve got a 21’ TLX advance. This was a major Honda issue so it looked to have extended to lots of Acuras. I was lucky enough to already know about the fix so when I caught the crackling, I called and mentioned the FAKRA issue and they fixed it the next day. Took about 2 hours to get it done.
Had the same thing happen to my 21 TLX about a year ago and luckily they said it was covered under warranty. I worry about Acura/Honda reliability now. Had AC and brake issues which was also covered under warranty fortunately. Definitely not thinking of buying out my lease or getting a new one because of all these issues 😅

2023 RDX Tech Package: No Crackle that I know of yet but Going Screen Black Yes! Trouble returning to what I listened to before I cut off car: If Listening to Apple Play it will not play on restart so I have to go to Sirius then back to Apple or FM Radio ?? I did receive notice of this yesterday in the mail!
Hold on, you said when you put it in park and shut off your car you wait a second or two then it activates? WTH it’s supposed to activate as soon as I put it in park !
@Vegitobluuuuu because sometimes people put their car in park for a second then continue to drive again. You leave your foot in the brake for a couple seconds after you turn it off. Then it engages and prevents the roll back your referring to
@Vegitobluuuuu yeah. If you take it off it will rock and then you’ll hear it engage which isn’t good for the transmission. Just hold your foot on the brake when you turn it off. You can actually feel the brake pedal move a tiny bit more when it’s engaged.
Only issue I've had is when I'm listening through bluetooth the volume will drop to about half for a couple of seconds then go back to original volume. It's been doing this quite often. Anyone else having this issue with bluetooth? Could Fakra connecter cause that?
I got one too for my acura tlx type s 2021, but haven't experienced any of those kinds of serious issues, although I have had heard static noises only when I drive spirited sport+ mode.
Had the FAKRA connectors replaced last winter in my ‘21 TLX. Hopefully I won’t have to get them replaced again. Are the puddle lights under warranty also? Haven’t worked since I bought it.
@@guyver626 yeah they were bad quality. Once they blow they put better bulbs inside. Definitely worth the fix. Look into welcome lights as well they look amazing.
Three months ago mine went in for an issue and last week. It went back in for the same exact issue, including the Apple CarPlay disconnecting and supposedly replaced a module or ECU inside entertainment system so hopefully that works. I haven’t got the vehicle back. I’ll get it Monday.
It was progressive for me. Starting with some pop rocks like rattling and one day became a pop that sounded like a gunshot. Acura resolved it with the FAKRA fix
Just had this done a few months ago. AutoNation Peak Acura in Colorado Springs was totally helpful, got the work done in just under a day and even helped out with a loaner---got a 2024 MDX for free for a day. Now if Acura corporate would just hurry TF up with the passenger seat circuit board recall.....
Funny story, my car battery on my 2022 honda accord lx caught alot of smoke coming out of it and i let it cool down and the next day the battery was dead. I decided to check the voltage and it only was reading around 7.4 volts. I got a towing truck and i went to the honda dealer with the towing guy and i had 3 honda technicians trying to put my car in neutral and they were all clueless and they were like how do i put in neutral if the battery is dead? LOL!! I showed them how to do it with the key inside the keyfob, i just push the key down there slighty and boom it went into neutral, i was like them all 3 of yall work for honda and none all yall knew this? Is amazing i know more than you guys just by watching youtube videos! LOL!! You should have seen their faces, they look embarrassed. Well at least they learn something that day and i was happy to have taught them something.
Just purchased a pre-owned 2022 TLX Technology Package AWD. Unfortunately, I've owned three Toyota products with weird issues. Two Camry's and one Lexus. Wanted to try something different but wasn't interested in SUVs. Infiniti Q50 styling is stale, and the Q60 was a bit small. Had my TLX for a little over a month now and love it. Sadly, i've heard Acura will be discontinuing the TLX in the near future due to low sales. ☹️
I had a 23 A-spec for about 3 months. Black interior/ bright blue exterior. I was lured in by the design and I loved the steering wheel probably better than anything I've ever had. It handled decent but I felt it was lacking on the acceleration end.... specifically at highway speeds. I realized quickly how large the car actually was when driving in downtown Nashville a few times. The turning radius was horrible. I also never got used to the way the infotainment system worked differently between using acura systems vs when I was using Android Auto. Then there's the premium fuel... doesn't sound bad at 27mpg... but I average more like 22. Such a beautiful car... just wasn't right for me.
Wow, that's amazing. I have about 64k on the odometer on my Acura type s 21, huge difference. Do you have a second car or is this your daily? I've been thinking of trading my 21 for another type s of a later year just to restart my miles again. I've driven it a lot and done aggressive maintenance and surprised it still drives like I just drove it off the lot. I love it so much!
I have a '23 A Spec. Concur with your opinions & evaluation ( and my puddle lights work fine ). I'm surprised you didn't mention the outstanding sound system. One of the best out there!
